QUESTIONS, QUESTIONS, AND MORE QUESTIONS

Hope all enjoyed yesterday's holiday and are ready to re-enter the trenches today. For those who missed yesterday's postings, one a borrowed article and another re the budget and fiscal year here in the Village, just either scroll down and read or click on the September link to the right of the screen and they will come up.
In any case, what we have are lots and lots of questions that must be answered and then the questions that arise from those answers must also be tackled. So what are the questions?
     1. How and why are we planning to change the budget year? How will that affect the funds raised and disbursed?
     2. Is that not a by law matter?
3.Why would we change the FISCAL year, which is what
that 3 line paragraph said could be done? But should it
done along with the IRS involvement?
4.Why the Wi Fi proposal and what are its ramifications? How much will it REALLY cost? How much infrastructure is required and who will maintain and own it? What will it cost the individual unit owner and what will be received for that fee? How much more does one have to pay for increased bandwidth and speed, for privacy and security? What is the time span of installation?
     5. What is the OPT OUT program and how does that work and what does it mean for the Wi Fi proposal? Can one get penalized for it? That answer is NO, NO, NO! David Israel can impose no "punishment" for OPTING OUT. He cannot touch the TV in your home. Beside the fact that Comcast would not go there with a ten foot pole, David Israel would then face MASSIVE civil and criminal suits and penalties, so as they say in the vernacular - "fuggedaboudit!"
     6. What are we going to do about our antiquated delegate system? If we are talking about enfranchising our snowbirds to a larger degree, why not enfranchise ALL CV residents with a one unit (owner)/one vote system? That means an owner, no matter how many units owned, still gets ONE vote, allowing for fair play.
       7. Why are we not reforming our election system itself? Why do we not have an OUTSIDE and IMPARTIAL service supervise the election and the counting of ballots?
      8. Why do we need that? Because of partiality in the running of the elections with workers all from one side aside from a token late appointee; because of broken rules such as people voting early, people voting who should not have voted; too many duplicate ballots; ballots that were within the control of ONE person as they were taken to the counting room; counters who were told not to tally as "they" would count them - so who are "they" - we all know. Because of lack of transparency and a refusal to show the ORIGINAL papers of the election, not a tainted copy done under no observation by others. Because the head of elections here told people who spoke to her about misdeeds, shall we say, were told to "shut your face!" and I can vouch for that first hand. Only when we threatened to go to Tallahassee, was there a response but not very helpful.
     9. In fact, while we are changing things around, why not change the date of elections so Susan Bucher, totally impartial, can run and supervise the elections. She would, if March were not the month as that is a busy month for her office with local elections. Why not change it for this upcoming election and definitely for the 2016 one?
     10. Even if we were to keep the delegate system, why is there not a minimum time of assemblies that the delegates must attend?
     11. Why is there no better way to insure that the delegates who turn up to vote ARE the real delegates? Why did 100 of them disappear on the day of elections? Why do we not insure that they vote as their ASSOCIATION wishes, not as they wish to!
12.Why is the purported newspaper of CV actually being pimped out as a shill for the opinions and viewpoints of David Israel only and for that matter, why am I not allowed to post anything in the paper - even a letter to the editor? Ask Joy.
13.How do we guarantee more transparency in our UCO administration?
     14. How do we insure that ONLY elected people are allowed to chair committees, unlike the situation we now have.
     15. How do we insure that volunteers are allowed to do just that, without David Israel having the right to blackball all opponents, or people he does not appreciate.
16.How do we insure that non UCO members, renters, are not allowed to be in positions of influence and power, with access to private information about residents of the Village?
     17. Why do we not return to what we have always had - term limits? Why are we bucking the national trend of term limits? (I can answer that for you but someone will be very angry!).
     18. Why do we not have a better and more impartial recall system here in CV?
     19. Why have we allowed ourselves to get into such a situation that exists in our Village?

I am sure there are more questions that I can ask but enough for this right now. Please email me your questions and we can post those too, if you wish, and no, Idjit, I will not post your stupidity so give it up.
