Almost 12:30 and no sleep in sight. Eyes ache, gums ache from dental work, toss and turn and cannot seem to find a place for myself. Well, silver lining, getting a head start on my day's goal on Fitbit!
Am also puzzled by people and their actions and why they take actions or steps that are harmful to themselves. Saw a new thing yesterday - David Israel has gone to buttons. Yes, for the first time I see buttons for his reelection (G-d forbid!). Guess he is really feeling the pressure, so much so that he instructed a Platinum security guard to trespass on private association property and remove a properly made sign following Code Enforcement rules, private property. Why? Because he does not obey rules and regulations when they offend him and his desires and this sign plumped for Phyllis Richland. Oh dear. Could this be at the very least a misdemeanor? Could we maybe see him in an orange jumpsuit? What fun that would be.
Anyway, who is wearing the button? His cronies of course, or rather his subordinates whose very life depends on his breathing their way. And of course we have the puzzles - like why is a man who is vigorously pushing private management, a man who knows that David Israel will never allow that in his tenure, and a man who has been personally and publicly cursed out by you know who and whose wife has undergone the same thing only viler - why is that man wearing David's button. Am thinking that perhaps I need to rethink my signing a petition of his, removing my name from it.
See an article in the CV Messenger re Don Foster, the man who is now our CAM - did he pass the test yet? Long time already. It is claimed that he is an abusive Association officer, breaking the rules and seemingly learning from his master David Israel, how to do things the wrong way. This is the same man who used to post pretty nasty stuff and was called DonHoHo. As Cam he seemed to act pretty nicely when interacting with me and I was pleasantly surprised but it seems as if he continues to have this other side. It disappoints me and would like to hear from Don, even in private, if and when we run into each other to explain this matter. I do like to hear all sides of an issue unlike some other people or person I know.
Am also reflecting on the results at this point anyway of the Iowa caucus. I know everyone will make a big deal of this but remember, look at the numbers, the amount of people actually voting, and then ask yourself if this is enough people to be a true sampling of the American population. Personally, I think not and in any case, Iowa is a different world from over here on this side of America so I am not too invested in the results of this event. That being said, what do we have? We have Cruz over Trump. Hmmmph! So what? 27 (Cruz) vs 24 (Trump) vs 23 (Rubio) in percent whole number figures? Seems to me that no one candidate is a clearly listed and chosen winner so no one should gloat about victory. And for the Democrats? Clinton is 49.9 and Sanders is at 49.6 so what does that mean?
To me, it means trouble on the hoof. This appears to me to be a signal of disgust and ennui with politics as usual, so much so that we could have a McGovern phenomenon with a candidate running for office and then getting beat when it really counts in the real election, when people realize that reality needs to be accepted and protest voting is not a good idea. Or we could have a true reactionary running for one candidate and that is dangerous in my opinion. Trump? I shudder almost as much as at the thought of Sarah Palin being a heartbeat away from the Presidency. Cruz? Sorry, cannot trust, too much shifting of views to serve the conservative, very conservative, elements of his backers and too much religion coming into the Oval Office where it does not belong. And Rubio? I wonder if he will have the stamina to withstand the crucible of the presidentcy as he did not as a Senator, what with his missing the voting 28% of the time. We cannot have a part time President, especially one who has had extremely little international experience let alone national experience!
Take a look at the leaders of other countries and take a look at the problems that will be facing our next President, much of the problems being exacerbated by the President we now have and his ineptness, his biases, and his weakness as a leader, a strongly indecisive leader. We need a new President who knows how to lead, who knows practical politics, who knows how to handle those leaders and problems, if not perfectly and always to all people's likings, then at least in an efficient and mostly professional manner. Do we have such a person? I am coming close to thinking that one might be the best of the batch though there are many flaws, but practicality and reality of necessity, rule the roost. That this is the best that we as a nation can present to the world as our candidates for the leader of the free world says a lot, does it not?
And yet we here in the Village have a clear choice, a clear cut difference between our candidates. One is a has been whose time is long time gone though he molders on in his chair in his lair at the back of UCO. And unfortunately the village molders along with him. We have the corrupt and inefficient methods of his which are ruining our Village. We have the nastiness of character and for sure, his nasty mouth and disrespect for others and opposed to this is a lady who is known for her concern for the people of the Village, who knows what it means to work hard and yet in a practical manner for the sake of the Village, who knows what we had and what we need, who knows how to be a leader - to include all thinkers and ideas, to expose them to the air and consideration rather than shutting the door to all that are different than she. All CEOs of big companies, small companies and middling ones, the successful ones, reiterate this need for inclusion, even the seeking out of others with different ideas and experiences, with fresh thought and fresh air - all the direct opposite of what we now have. So some idiot sends me a note that I am breaking the law by voting for someone who breaks the law, but no, fool - that is you as your leaders have broken so man bylaws that I have lost count, never mind the laws of accounting and proper money transferring. So you go ahead, vote for your criminals and moral voids. Hope you can sleep at nite and have good excuses when you go to those pearly gates.
VOTE FOR PHYLLIS RICHLAND.
VOTE FOR SANITY, FOR A FRESH START.
TIME TO DUMP DAVID AND SWEEP CLEAN.
