WHATCHA' GONNA' DO?

     So whatcha gonna do? Whatcha gonna say? Where does one stand in this crazy whirling world of ours? Is there any spot in the world where there seems to be progress, where progression has not turned sour and regressed? Sorry, folks, but I cannot seem to find any such place.
     We are engaged in a war that is never ending and that seems to be sprouting new branches every day. We fight over the same territory years after we supposedly subdued and took it back from the enemy. We are now fighting more enemies than ever, more branches in more countries and we are now sending combat soldiers into African countries, so more coffins being shipped back for honors and folded flags.
  The fresh air of glasnost, of political springs, has turned into the cold and inhospitable winds of winter. We are engaged in a battle of words with Korea, a threat of nuclear weapon wizardry, of new and better nuclear weapons! Are there "better" nuclear weapons? The whole idea is an oxymoronic concept. 
     And then again we have the hypocrisy and nastiness, to say the least, of the Trump regime. Lies grow much better in this soil than does the truth. He puts his sins over on his opponents and unfortunately those of his own party who once had some honor, some integrity, now seem to have lost it all. We are chewing our country away from the inside out.
    So where does it end? The economy, once roaring and engaged, now seems to have come to a sputtering time, a time when trillions are lost in value, when we are being warned that the next recession will be a doozy far worse than the one of 2008 and with far less of a safety net for American citizens.
     Science projects that revert back to fallacious science, false science, that speaks of innate racial differences in intelligence. Proud marchers and purveyors of hatred parade through our streets. Right wing terrorism seems to have grown by leaps and bounds and the numbers falling under the influence of these people are growing.
    The next war, and yes, there will be a next war, over in the Middle East, will be one that involves so many countries. It will be a war by proxy with Iran as the big baddie, supplying arms and weapons against Israel and the rest of the world? Where will they be? Probably shouting hysterically when Israel bombs the arms warehouses in Lebanon, those of the Hezbollah, when it bombs the storage of missiles in Syria, all buried in both countries under hospitals and schools and homes for there will be no holding back here, for it will be a war of survival, of a question whether the world will once again stand by and see the Jewish race and religion purged or will they face up to their own lack and finally speak up and act properly?
     So whatcha gonna do? Well, first thing is to eat a piece of chocolate! Then sit down and think. How do we get rid of the haters? How do we turn our governments around? How do we get the populations to reject the power hungry ones, the ones who hate more than they breathe? How? By stepping up to the plate. By setting an example for the younger generation. By being honest with ourselves and by admitting our past mistakes - and present ones as well. By going to work!!
     Whatcha gonna do? Something. Anything. For if not, we are truly lost.
