THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY

There are so many things in life that can be interpreted in almost diametrically opposed manners. Take the internet for example. Never before has so much information been at hand. Just type a word or two into the search box and there you go. We all become Dr. Google and we all keep up with the latest of everything.
I am finding the internet now great for I have gone back further generations of my family on one side and hope to explore all sides as far as I can take it and I am told the records for that area go only until 1862. Frustration, but will think of something.
But the internet also brings dirt and filth into the home and corruption to public servants who cannot withstand temptation. But worst of all is the nastiness that arises on it from total invasion by enemy countries, and the public ignoring of so much that is wrong, all for the sake of power. We have people now who do not condemn open corruption, whereas once they would have - and  in fact, did -scream themselves hoarse. The question is raised and must be answered. Are we or have we grown immune to the horror of a man accused of high crimes ruling the country, insuring destruction and disaster, sentencing 1,400 people more a year to death due to his relaxed air standards and if we are indeed at his point then woe upon us.
So how do we choose and separate the good from the evil, the bad, or worse Where and how do we set limits? And what about the relationships of countries when all is blasted over the net the whole day, prejudice and side taking reigns in the media, certainly the alt right, and how will people see each other? How will we work with people of other countries when we are all busy making a buck, taking it from others, and neglecting the earth? How do we insure a better future when we have evil role models and our children see hypocrisy and cold heartedness ruling the roost?
Why, and how, we must ask ourselves have the ugly heads of bias and prejudice arisen so boldly once more? Why  is it fashionable again? Why  do we now all scream at each other, in person, on line, whatever, rather than engage in conversation, discourse and compromise?
Is it all the fault of the Internet an its overseers? Is it our fault that we have allowed this, allowed its corruption to grow unheeded? I really do not know, but the good, the bad and the ugly are right there and we must make a choice. Now. If not sooner.
