THE MAD TYRANT

     It was refreshing to ignore the madman yesterday and write of roots, but unfortunately this madman persists in ruining our lives, in destroying our country, in taking step after step to literally take over as ultimate Dictator, or the Kingship which Washington declined. I wonder why it is that people with eyes decide to purposely not see the truth, or ignore it as they work to fix their position in the ranks of the corrupt and cowardly.
     Since taking office, never mind before, Trump has gone downhill at an ever increasing pace. This week has been a top to it all. Like all dictators and tyrants, he is getting rid of his enemies, and while he cannot as of yet order their beheadings, literal or figurative, he can order what he feels is their destruction and cancel their clearance or ability to function in aid of and for this nation which they so proudly served. Even the leader of the bin Laden capture team has said to take his clearance for he would be honored to be among those that speak out against Trump and his actions.
     The calculated madness, the constant anger and shouting, the filthy language and behavior that seems to have no breaks, the mouth that never turns off, the constant denial of what he himself has said - and is that the forgetfulness of dementia - all this points to true and advanced dementia no matter the cause. It demands that he be removed from office under Article 25 for the inability to perform the duties of his office and have him undergo a full and open and honest and transparent examination, body and brain, and see the truth emerge.
     He and his lawyers, nasty people who service his lies, who shout out their own lies, who make a mockery of the law and who quit time and time again, must face the truth and realize that they have surrounded themselves with weak and cowardly people who are only looking out for number one and who will leap off the sinking ship if it serves them better. So yes, they protect themselves with tapes and memos and papers and release them to prove their points in the tell all books they write. But the publishers stand by their  authors even as they are threatened with lawsuits by Trump. It seems he will never learn that truth will out, that hope and freedom will triumph, that even the corrupt of his regime will realize that the end has come for them and they will go, baggage and all, and it will be up to the rest of us to repair, if we can, the damage they have wrought to Nature, to country, to democracy, to the unity of our people.
     The military parade, which the pre pubescent and mad person wishes to have, to waste billions on it, to show his might and put fear into his enemies, will have to be postponed as the costs rise and the opposition grows and the places where this money needs to be better used also grow in number and necessity.
     So fourteen year old boys are stabbing girls they do not know in an assembly. Such is the depth to which we have fallen. The kids are learning from the President that one can act on impulse, from mind to action without stopping at the brain and evaluating consequences, morality, right from wrong. Why should they learn otherwise when the head of the country acts the way he does?
     After having California burn up, Zinke, the moron, finally admits that oh, yes, climate change had its impact there. Well, mazel tov to you, idiot, but too little, too late. Try telling that to the people whose towns, whose homes have gone up in flames, to the families of the good people who have died in their efforts to contain the fire, to save and evacuate people.
     The Emperor  is naked - naked in his desire to be the sole and only and forever ruler of the former democracy known as the United States of America. No longer will it be united. No longer will it be a democracy. No longer will it protect its citizens from the vagaries of politicians and bigots. No longer will it be a beacon of hope for the world.
     Think it can't happen here? Just look back at the behavior of Congress, at the Republican Party whose members need to rummage around in their pants and find something that is missing. Look at the new hatred coming to the surface, the mass shootings that increase in number. Look at the guards at the detention centers for the immigrants and their behavior and willingness to rip children from parents and to uphold awful conditions.
     It is incumbent upon all of us to do our part in the fixing of America, to speak out against tyranny, against hate, to accept the role and responsibility we had in the allowing of this man to be where he is, and to get wilder in his actions and statements. No one can remain silent and it is incumbent upon those who supported him to admit their errors in judgement or come out in the open and say they agree with his philosophy of hatred and enmity, of violence and repression, of attacks on free speech, on the media, of infantile temper tantrums and the harm he has done to all. Can we all do this? Can we all speak out against the foe or admit complicity? I have my doubts, but I also have hope as I see the protesters and the election results. I hope. I truly do.
