LOTSA' STUFF

  Well, folks, there remains a whole lotta' stuff to do, lotsa' stuff going on and apparently the good Lord above continues to work in mysterious ways. Whether we get miracles or simply the righting of wrongs, hey, I'll take what we can get. Of course, a miracle such as winning the lottery wouldn't be spurned either!!

Seriously, this is a truly tough time for the world in general, the USA in particular, and the Jews specifically. Nothing seems to be going right, pratfalls all over the place by our so undistinguished dignitaries, and the hatred grows apace. However, continuing along the theme of history, as bad as it has been, we Jews have a champion above. At times He forgets about us for too long and we lose our way, fall into tragic times, but at the end, there is usually a righting of the wrongs, at least to a degree. Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, Romans, Egyptians, Philistines, Assyrians, the Crusaders, the Inquisition, hostile Arab states, Nazis - and where are they and where are we?

The clock ticks, the wheel of time rolls round and round, whatever metaphor one likes, there is always a well deserved payback. Thus, the mini victory for the world, unnoticed, was the thumbing of our noses at Hitler and acolytes - we are here! Our family grows again. We remain! We grow and thrive. And screw you!

Yes, there is a dangerous, threatening growth of antisemitism out in the open, groups openly wearing ominous uniform shirts, sending echoes of the past with Brown Shirts, Black Shirts, and white sheets, but the majority of people are disgusted with them, tired of them, and they will wither at their roots. "His miracles to perform"! It might take time, and there could be horrors and tragedies along the way, but we will survive, we will outlive the enemies, regroup, rebuild decimated families and honor the lost.

Payback time, Ilhan Omar. You represented a first for a proud people, Somalis, many of whom had found refuge in Israel, crossing the desert to do so. And in the throes of your insane hatred for Jews, for Israel, for any and all things positive for the Jewish nation, you forgot that your people are not insane with you. They have pressing issues. They are not worried about Palestinians who in reality are doing just fine - come to Israel and see the homes they build, the cars they drive, the freedom with which they walk the streets of Israel. Their numbers in professions of respect. All Israel asks is that the violence not be encouraged. For all to live in peace and prosperity.

You have failed your community, ignored their needs, their concerns over their families back in Somalia, facing dire famine and starvation. You have dallied hatefully with Palestinian bigots and pushers of violence, who have taken advantage of the Somali community. You immersed yourself in hate and the payback is beginning. As you were booed - BOOED - at a rally of Somali-Americans. Hurrah! May your downfall be quick. May you earn what you deserve.

And so will it be for the rest of the deluded, hate-filled antisemites of America and the world. Peace and commerce with Arab nations are at a better place. People wonder what the Palestinian organizations have done with the billions of funding they have received, other than to enrich the leaders, and pay for terrorism. We continue to learn, discover new manners and means of technology and medicine. We are here, giving much to the world, as Mark Twain noted long ago.

With all the woes that have befallen the Jewish nation, we remain alive and well. WE thrive. WE contribute, We are here.
