IS IT? DO YOU KNOW?

Does anyone know? Is it even possible in the dense fog surrounding the war, the fierce hatred which has emerged triumphant in its achievement of horror on a massive scale, to actually separate truth from lies, right from wrong? Are these concepts provisional, not absolute but dependent upon the related events? Is it better that we do not judge in stark black and white or is it better to color all with supposedly relevant colors of the times. Or is evil in fact evil, no matter the attempts to disguise and camouflage. I believe that there are times that do excuse what would otherwise be deemed forbidden, but those decisions must be clear in borders and limitations.

Hence, the weird international laws of war, an attempt to organize a rather unorganized activity. In the fog of war, the terror of the night, how does one distinguish good from evil? That which is legal, justifiable, in the eyes of the world and that which is not? The Bible tells us there are wars which must be fought, and those which are a matter of choice rather than necessity - if indeed there is a true choice. Are the eyes and minds of the world actually able to judge in a nonpartisan manner?

Can we truly make judgements re others and their actions, their thoughts and decisions re the necessity of going to war, how it will play out, and the balancing of musts versus the 'be careful', calculations which must be made largely in the   moment, in the demands of the instant, no room for hesitation. Kill or be killed. Kill or allow the killing to drag on interminably. Stark choices based upon impossible situations and yet there they are.

Logic demands that one fight the enemy, destroy its capabilities to fight, and then deal death to the idea which fostered this war, which has corrupted its adherents. At times the enemy hides among civilians, all the better to hide from opposing forces and cause those forces to be blamed for large 'collateral' damages. The war must be fought where the war is, where the combatants are, rather tha where we would wish them to be.

Then think of the circumstances. Calls and warnings did not work. Their own forces prevented them from leaving as directed, needing these civilians to remain for the benefit of claims of war waged upon noncombatants. Their own forces hoarded the stocks of food and water, fuels, and then claimed a dearth of life necessities within two days, a most miraculous two days for they never seemed to end.

In any case, how do we define innocent in the Gazan population? On the Black Shabbat they joined in with the forces of Hamas and other terrorist groups, wreaked havoc upon the civilians of peaceful kibbutzim and towns. They slaughtered, butchered, raped, stole, destroyed as skillfully and enthusiastically, as thoroughly. as murderously as any uniformed Hamas terrorist. They captured   their own private hostage, to torment and torture and discard when of no more use.

They cheered the shameful parade of captives, their nakedness, the fierce competition they had so gallantly defeated - the children, shocked now beyond all boundaries ever known. The elderly, needing their meds, denied them and food. The women, the young girls, debased, raped, demeaned, paraded through the streets with the innocents all cheering. Not to forget the men beaten with electric cords and worse, and G-d alone knows what these innocents have in store for the hostages they have refused to return - men, women, children, elderly - no matter, all fodder for the bloody maws of the innocents. May G-d have pity on them and save them from pain and torment and bring them home safely to their anguished bereft families.

No, there are no innocents here, certainly not enough to matter. They chortle in glee at their hijacking of the public with their chants of genocide, with their plans to move forward, true to their mantra - to attack Jews and adherents all over. To steal the deluded minds of the young via propaganda awash with lies, encourage them to disturb and upend society, to run rampant on college campuses, to engage in destructive behavior wherever and whenever they can. To ramp up the hate scale in vile speech and actions. To intimidate all who oppose. To obscenely wallow in it.

No, all innocence disappears as soon as the virus of Jewhatred enters the mind. Innocents? Not in Gaza and not here. Those parents who indulge their children in college, in high school, in middle school, to engage in this, deeming it child's play, a phase, well, they are sadly mistaken, for they are attacking the basis of our society, endangering its democracy. As bad a deal, as threatening to Jews and society at large as the homegrown white supremacists and the retrogressive progressives. All converging at the obscene site of the bucket of hate, of antisemitism, of a decent and fair society, filling it to overflowing amounts.

We reap what we sow. Definitely, our future crops, our sooner than later future crops are winning the battle, destroying the pure uncorrupted crops, cutting off all supplies and nourishment necessary for survival. If we do not wake up, soon, very soon, like immediately, we will lose the last open doors and windows providing access for victory for the forces of justice, of true equality in a fair and open society. To do so, before being deafened by the sound of slamming shut doors and windows.

If you need convincing, think of two tiny warriors caught up in a vicious war. Kfir, meaning lion cub. Ariel, meaning the lion of G-d. Prescient in their names for they died, brave as lions, slaughtered in their innocence by animals, origin Gaza who wage war upon little lions, braver than any of them.

The ceasefire, the foolish ceasefire, is over. Yes, we retrieved some hostages, at such great cost, but many remain. The war is on again, the pressure on Israel rises. Concede defeat. Pull that defeat out of the victory it is achieving. If only the world will mind its own business. Find another war to interfere with; there are oh so many. But leave us alone to fight our battles, your battles, for we fight for peace and justice, for democracy, for dignity, for all. We fight the war against Evil.

Let us pray that the world regains its balance and sanity. That it recognizes the truth and not be misled by the lies disguised as truths.

Redeem the world before that redemption will be out of reach.

Pray for Yitzy whose status is extremely precarious. We desperately need voices raised in pleas for healing. As many and as loud as can be found.

We need a miracle. We pray for a double miracle. The safety of our people, in a world at peace and the lifesaving miracle we need for Yitzy.

Pray for peace.

Pray with us, for Yitzy. We love him so.

Answer the pleas of so many, now multiplied by so many, so much. Heal our Yitzy, our so sweet treasure. We need him more than You.

 HEAL, CURE YITZY

YITZCHOK ELIMELECH BEN CHANA SARAH

DEAR G-D, I PLEAD WITH YOU.

HEAR US.
