There are a few weird things going on in UCO, some raised before and some raised more recently, but again, some of these are becoming more blatant and totally against our bylaws so what the hell is going on?
1. Why was a report on -
PROGRAM AND SERVICES
COMMITTEE MEETING
August 6, 2014
11 :00 AM UCO Conference Room
received YESTERDAY, which was August 5? Does UCO now have the ability to control time? t\They already try to control truth so maybe they are multi talented?
2. Why are we told that Cindy Reavis is doing such a wonderful job in two areas - one for Program and Services for which she functioned as a recording secretary and the other fact is that she runs the Reporter office?!! NOW MIND YOU, CINDY IS A RENTER, A NON OWNER, A NON MEMBER OF UCO AND YET HERE SHE IS IN POSITIONS OF AUTHORITY IN UCO COMMITTEES AND ORGANS.
3. Why do we have a similar and even worse situation with Anitra Krauss who has her fingers deeply involved in the affairs and data of the residents and once again, this non owner, non member of UCO, is in charge of IT, is on the Wi Fi committee, writes numerous summaries of committees for The Reporter, and heads up other functions in the Village , things she has no business being head of! She has tried to take the place of Phyllis Richland, yet besides the fact that she could never fill Phyllis's shoes, SHE IS A RENTER,A NON OWNER, a non member of UCO.
4. Why was there this ridiculous argument about removing Reporter trash from the deposit sites. Either instruct the service company as this is part of the Village responsibility or the editor of the paper, Joy Vestal, is responsible for it as it has to do with the paper. But then again, perhaps she is too busy with Channel 63 and being VP and whatever else she thinks she needs to control. Hey, what about Bob Marshal, as after all what would happen if lightning struck this trash? Or maybe even Phyllis Siegelberg as she obviously is not busy as she never has anything to report. In any case, this is a question of organization, responsibility and management - something that UCO is sorely lacking.
5. Why is blame for the non event of an eight foot fence now being laid on the shoulders of Southampton? It was not they who did not fulfill all the requirements of Palm Beach County nor take all these months NOT to do so. But now it is as if they have "finally" decided to get cooperative.
6. What, oh what, is Marilyn Gorodetzer brewing up on her committee about by laws. Newsflash, folks, these are the rules of OUR Village, not hers and not David Israel's, nor Ed Black's - OURS and we need to hear and be involved. 6 or ten people cannot determine the fate of thousands. As the old saying went - POWER TO THE PEOPLE - and we are the people!! Speak up. Make demands, just as we are demanding now about the Wi Fi issue.
7. Speaking about Wi Fi - we need to bring this issue to a close. David Israel obviously does not have much to say as my offer to listen with an open mind was not taken up, so....enough. Just OPT OUT and do what your building wishes to do - keep it as is or wire up via Comcast or another provider. It is your right and David Israel saying it ain't so, does not make it so.
8. One more - and that is just why, exactly are people not elected by anyone - three people to be exact - Barbara Cornish head of Bid Committee, Marilyn Gorodetzer head of Advisory, and Ed Black, head of Security and anything that is not nailed down - are in control of extremely important extensions of UCO? Could it be that something is rotten in the state of CV?
So hear I sit waiting for answers and anyone of a betting nature out there? Bet I get none. Sucker bet!
