THE WAY IT IS

     JFK encouraged people to think and ask why a situation must remain so and there is even a famous quote about that. I believe that is the operating principle here in the Village for the opposition or rather "the rogue malcontents" - and proudly so. Why must we allow this situation to remain? Why must we allow ourselves (meaning all the residents) to be constantly abused, maltreated, and cheated of our rights, of our ability to monitor our contracts and spending? Why is there such animosity towards an audit? Now that is really beginning to raise eyebrows what with all the opposition to it and the latest story out of Tamarac and the huge embezzlement there. So why not shut everyone up and allow an outside audit, not from the usual guy but a new one, agreed to by all sides? Why not? What is being hidden here. Even I am beginning to think thoughts that I never had before. In fact, why do we even have to bother going outside. We have three good people who stand ready to do it for free and you can even have someone you like join the committee. I can think of several more CPAs right off the bat. Why are you making this more difficult than it need be? Again, what is being hidden?
     Why is it that a formerly loyal adherent to the Grand Poohbah, who sat with the rest of the dolts, has suddenly been revived and become incensed with the Reporter and how it is being run? Why is it that suddenly all are waking up to what others, including myself, who is banned from the Reporter by the way, have been saying for oh so long. Joy Vestal is one of the worst, most bigoted and fearful editors we have ever had here in the Village. Time for her to go. Let her concentrate on her VP position where she actually does some good and break up this cozy relationship of the paper and Channel 63, now housed in the same room in the same building.
     Why is there suddenly a cry from the Poohbah's adherents about management companies? Do they think we are all stupid animals, cows chewing our cud? First of all, the cost is outrageous and how would we finance it, add another few million or so onto the budget, what the hell!!! And exactly who would be supervising the company? Oh, maybe we should just leave the Poohbah and the rest of the creeps in office, and don't forget to include Black, you know, the one who worked so hard for that "wonderful" - not - security contract we just had shoved down our throats. And by the way, why are we not canceling within the allowed time as this company displayed its incompetency and is continuing to do so? So no, no management companies, certainly not while they can be tainted by present UCO. Remember, we tell our management companies what to do at our associations so there would be no difference here - except for cost!
     And while we are on this topic - where are our old rovers? We pay for them so where do they go when they die? Even if they are useless as cars to be driven, they are of value for scrap. So where are they? Where is the money? Seems that is a common question here now. Another question - what is the case with the old buses? Where do they go when they die and who gets the benefit? this is all part and parcel of what is left out, information not told to the residents. Transparency, folks. That is what is needed and that will give us a better understanding and grip on our funds.
     Common mantra - "what have they done for UCO?" Really? So many of the people vilified by the Poohbah and Co., have served well in UCO and once were actually allies of his until they saw his true nature, his true incompetence, the true nature of his puppeteer, and now they are banned as vermin from UCO work. As for others who wanted to serve, well, forget that, right Petey Boy. You specifically said that I was to banned - NEVER ESTHER - THOSE WERE YOUR EXACT WORDS, SO STOP THE LIES, ALL OF YOU. YOU ARE FOOLING NO ONE BUT YOURSELVES.
     Finally we come to that damaged person, Elaine Brown. I think she needs to move elsewhere if she finds it so difficult to live in a place or country where G-d is allowed to be mentioned. That is called freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of worship, and shall we go on? Oh, and do not forget to get off American currency. Perhaps bitcoins will work better for you. What a fool you are. Using the name or word G-d does not mean you are forcing anything on anyone.  If I said here - G-d will get ya" - did I just violate some obscure principle of yours? Or will you realize that many expressions using the word G-d are just that - expressions. Get real and grow up. It seems that is the problem many of you have - maturation, or perhaps you are just devolving.
     C'mon, people, time to take out the trash at UCO. Time to open the windows and let the fresh air in. Hey, maybe G-d will be happy, right, Elaine?
