THE MASK OF DIMITRIOS WRITTEN BY STEW RICHLAND

Before you read this article, understand that this is the one that was turned down by Joy Vestal. She felt it was more important to put in fluff about cooking and other light items rather than this. Perhaps she feels we are too dumb to understand. Joy Vestal MUST go. This is why Bettie resigned. This is why The Reporter is a rag, rather than a paper.

PS - As you read this, please keep the following in mind. It was sent by a filthy animal who posts on the Poohbah's blog, calling himself a concerned unit owner and generally spouts nasty and inane items.

This time around he has gone beyond the pale. I just want you folks out there to understand that this is what comes to us from The Sore Losers Club, the people who cannot take losing a vote. Stew and Phyllis, I apologize for posting this, but it must be put out there for people must know what we face and not to be taken in by Israel's false and lying face nor that of his nasty followers who post on his blog WITH HIS PERMISSION. This is what he sent to me about Stew.
Isn't this guy Richland about dead yet? May he take his poison to the grave. (signed) a concerned unit owner.

My response: to 120, Stew, you and your wonderful wife. I love and treasure you both and so do many, many others right here in the Village.

The Mask of Dimitrios
Stew Richland
I started to write this article prior to the November mid-term elections.  The American people have declared that they are sick and tired of the present administrations policies.   This president and his administration have led us down the garden path of deception, and word play as Charles Krauthammer explains, “the blending of language to fit a political need.”,  This administration has earned the “Oscar”  for  the least transparent administration in our nation’s history.  Obama promised Americans “Change!” In  a speech Michellel Obama gave in Madison,  Wisconsin  she said, "For the first time in my adult lifetime, I’m really proud of my country, and not just because Barack has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change."  Many responded by wondering if our nation’s accomplishments have never made her proud of what they accomplished until her husband was elected President.
Every Halloween children dress up in costumes and wear masks. Children delight in the anonymity that a mask provides.  Young and old alike can become whoever or whatever they want to be by simply donning a mask and role playing. Become your favorite actor from the big screen or your favorite character from the television screen; the sky’s the limit when it comes to the fun and entertainment the right mask can provide. There’s something for all ages.
To the Obama administration, transparency means, what you sees, is what you get, that is why our leaders wear masks. He and his supporters are like home improvement contractors selling us aluminum siding.  Don’t read the contract, just sign it!  Last night the President acted like the Lone Ranger, wearing the mask of the benevolent “imperial leader” skirting Congress to pander to his base.
I doubt if any person would disagree with the idea that truth is a virtue. .  As Hillary Clinton admonished us when being question about her role in the tragic Benghazi debacle, “What difference does it make?”   Well it does make a difference! If our President keeps lying or manipulating the truth, how can we take seriously anything he or his administration tells us?
The President issued an executive order on Immigration.  The Constitution, under Section 2, gives the Chief Executive the power to issue executive orders.  Many Presidents have used this technique to move forward on laws that were approved by Congress.  I am not unsympathetic to the plight of the illegal immigrants.  However, the issue would not have become so emotional if the President would have taken action to protect our borders as he should have.  Yes, we would still have to deal with illegal immigration but not  on the massive scale we have today.  The question is why did the president take this action now?  As a former community organizer, he understands how important this new potential voting bloc will become to push forward his political agenda.  One wonders if the president would have spent as much time dealing with the economic issues, which the polls tell us is the most important issue concerning Americans, his party would have fared much better in the mid-term elections.
The President quoted statistics to support his actions.  He also invoked scriptures to defend his actions. Fact checkers have already disputed his figures and Bible scholars have taken him to task for misinterpreting his Biblical references.  Many of Obama’s supporters liken his executive order to Lincoln’s  Emancipation Proclamation.  Lincoln issued the Proclamation based on the fact that  as stated as: “President of the United States, and by the virtue of the power  vested as Commander-in-Chief, of the Army and Navy of the United States in time of actual armed rebellion against the authority and government of the United States, and as a fit and necessary war measure for suppressing said rebellion . .”  His actions were based on saving the Union and not to save or destroy slavery.  To rank Obama’s actions to that of Lincoln’s is the height of arrogance on the part of his supporters.  Mr. Obama, you’re no  Abraham Lincoln!

One final thought on this issue.  Did you know that since President Obama has been in office 5,000 American citizens have been killed by illegal aliens.  Many of these illegal’s had multiple convictions and were never deported.  Indifference to the impact this had on the suffering families is the real tragedy here.
History is laden with belligerent leaders using humanitarian rhetoric to mask political aims. History also shows how often misplaced moralism  does more harm than good. As the Shadow reminds us, “Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of the masked men?”   Be sure to tune in to your favorite news outlet for further adventures of  Cisco  Obama and his faithful adviser Pancho Kerry.
