WHAT IS HE HIDING? WHAT IS THE TRUTH?

  Ed Grossman has been after the truth about the budget for a long time. Dorothy Tetro has been appalled at the goings on, concerned about the money and its safety and the breakdown or lack of breakdown in the budget. George Lowenstein has been looking askance at the budget and its fallacies and lack of adherence to financial principles of fiscal soundness and sanity. All three have offered to give of their time to help bring about a sane budget and to perform a forensic audit of the budget and UCO finances so we would have a better understanding of the situation. 
     Stymied by David Israel agreeing and then reneging on that promise, not a surprise as that his usual modus operandi, Ed and George managed to make contact with the accounting firm who did the audits of UCO accounts who had heard that there were issues going on. They made an appointment to meet, with the two managing partners and/or head of firm to discuss the budget and finances. Suddenly the appointment was called off. David Israel, upon being informed of the meeting FORBADE the accountants to meet. Really???
     What is the secret? What is he afraid of? The by laws state that this is to be seen and reported to the board of directors of the Village and the Grand Poohbah himself has so often stated that the delegates are the board so what is he pulling now? What is he hiding? Why has his fascist tendencies to secrets and lies once again come to the fore?
     He had no right to cancel or forbid the meeting. He has no right to constantly forbid the papers of UCO to be seen in response to requests. He has no right to close all books. THIS IS OUR MONEY, OUR RIGHT TO INSPECT THE BOOKS. The man is an obvious liar and perhaps even a crook or simply manifestly incompetent, subject to attacks of paranoid fantasies and needs to be removed for the benefit of all.
     Tomorrow, at the DA, VOTE NO TO THE BUDGET. Stare him down. Block out his foaming at the mouth as he screams and shouts. Show him that his time is over. His sell by date is long past. Nominate and second the right people, the people who will question and prod, who will work for us, the residents and not for themselves as is the case now.
     In March, vote the right people in and break the chokehold this person has on the Village. Get Gorodetzer and Anitra and ED Black and all others OUT OF UCO. Bring back sanity and truth, honesty and transparency, common sense and future planning, process and procedure.

By the way, I heard there are plans to get alternates to vote instead of delegates and these alternates are going to vote for the budget. If you are a delegate and plan to oppose the budget make sure you get there early and sign in.
