WHY? THAT IS THE QUESTION

     The questions that are asked most often here in the Village begin with the word why. Why does the Poohbah hold secret meetings in violation of the Sunshine Law, talks with CSI, a broadband company, against the expressed wishes of the delegates. Why do the members of this committee which should have been disbanded think they can continue to ignore the electorate? Why is the Poohbah still planning his usual attack on votes that did not go his way, waiting till most of the delegates have returned to the north and elsewhere and then use his zombie delegates to get his way?
     Why is indeed the operative question word so let me express a few more why thoughts. Why does Petey Boy have difficulty understanding that he is pathetic, he and Lanny having a tete a tete amongst the two of them making no sense whatsoever. Why or what does he think he will gain by trying to harm the Villagers? Will he get a little fiefdom from his Lord of the Manor?
     Why, people ask, why do I continue to do this, to open myself up for nastiness, for stupidity and cupidity, for threats and prejudicial remarks? Why? Because it is the right thing to do for my home, for the Village. Good things never come easy. They need to be earned, fought for and guarded. We are in the middle of a battle for the good life here in the Village. We are in the middle of a battle where people need to realize that we have no money for nonsense, for pie in the sky plans and projects. We have no time and no need for egotistical people who cannot see beyond their own gain and selfish thoughts. We cannot make time for these people either for otherwise they think of more and more evil doings.
     Why, if they believe in what they are doing, do they not consent to a debate? Let us see how many of them show up for the Forum opened up by the Messenger's Club? Let us see how many open a mouth and let us see if the grandmaster and Poohbah himself shows up. Here he will not be chair and here he will not have the opportunity to shout people down, to insult them and to set his own ground rules into play. So, of course, he will NEVER show up. He specializes in setting others upon his enemies, his opponents, as he daydreams and engages in paranoid fantasies.
     Why do I do this with all of the disadvantages? Simple. It is the right thing to do and thus must be done and there are many others who feel this way. Come and join us. Speak up for your rights, for an austerity budget that will begin our path to financial stability and money enough to set our Village to rights. Let us make realistic plans, realistic WPRF plans as well so our Village will look beautiful, be healthy and whole and we can look forward to a good future.
     I expect more and more nasty attacks for he and his fellow troglodytes seem to have settled on me as the epitome of their nightmares. So be it. I have a sharper tongue if need be, a sharper brain and the interests of the Village at heart, with a belief in honesty, in transparency, in process and procedure, in proper management skills and principles. What do they believe in other than the selfish principles of getting what they want, first and foremost, in cronyism and corruption, and in sending moronic statements to those they oppose. Please note that after I publicized some of the kindergarten level statements sent to me, suddenly they have stopped. Oh well, I am sure they will return as they cannot help themselves and meanwhile I will look forward to more of Gracie's repetitive nonsense and just feel sorry for her - she cannot help herself, poor thing.
     Why - as the Mouseketeers used to say - "because I love you" - I love the Village. I love my life here. I love my friends here. AND I WILL NOT LET IT GO TO THOSE WHO WISH TO HARM AND DESTROY IT.
