     Dangnabbit!!! I am so angry at what I just read that I could swear I see flames shooting out from my fingers as they type this posting. I knew this would happen. I knew that Joy Vestal would continue to take The Reporter down the road to perdition and boast of it at the same time and here we are, living "the dream" in reality.
     It was bad enough when Joy Vestal and Myron Silverman were running the paper prior to Joy becoming a VP. From hereon in we will just use Joy Vestal as the named cause of all the problems of the paper as Myron is a non entity. At that time there was rampant bias in the paper but in the beginning at least there was some coverage of other opinions other than those that were promulgated by David Israel and Ed Black. Then, as more and more people began to express dissatisfaction with the administration, Vestal eagerly and enthusiastically joined in with the suppression movement and, for example, after I submitted an ad, an entire page ad which was paid for, with the money accepted, days later I was told that it could not go in as written because it was too powerful and might give rise to anti David feeling in the Village and we could not have that. It was to be censored, yes, censored, by her. And after that, I and many other people who are reformers are banned from the paper. Certainly it is far more important to read of Lanny's inane travels or excess recipes be placed in the paper, or more restaurant reviews. At least in HER opinion.
     Now we have the finishing touches, the beginning of the end for our Reporter, and YES, it is OUR Reporter, not David's, not Ed's, not Joy's, Not DonHoHo - OURS.
     Joy Vestal took on the conflict of interest positions of both VP and Editor and denied any problem. Her spending spree for equipment and other demands and overly large runs of the paper took the paper into near bankruptcy even as she boasted of increased revenues and the DA heard her "pleas" and forgave the paper the $24,000 it owes UCO every year. So much for independence.


     Now the paper is near broke again, they cannot manage the business side as any intelligent person with business skills has practically to swear allegiance to David Black and Ed Israel - oops, did it again - and anyone not meeting these conditions and required beliefs is summarily pushed out into the cold. She and Ed Black, that non elected usurper of all things UCO, then took it upon themselves to move Channel 63 into the building as well. Thanks to the Greggs the costs were held down as they even did most of the physical labor themselves and look what they got for their efforts - the need to resign as they refused to operate a crooked and biased and unprincipled Channel 63 and Barbara Cornish, shame on you, Barbara, you truly have sold your soul for the sake of what, I ask - has the gall to "

     So, the paper is broke or near broke again, must reduce the paper in size, is blind to the fact that readership is declining even as they fall further and further into inanity as the rag of David Israel and people are disgusted and now there is a viable and exciting alternative.      Love these juicy little excerpts? More outsourcing. We already have security being handled in Miami - yes, you know the Big Brother cameras around the Village and in the Clubhouse, there for "our" security, a lot of good that will do when the old crock manning the camera in Miami finally creeps over to the monitor, puts on his thick glasses and tries to figure out what that vest is on the guy entering the building! Ridiculous! As ridiculous as the outsourcing and the "reasoning" behind it all. Now we are going to pay over $12.000+ dollars a year to an outside source for this ridiculous rag as it is run right now?
     Joy Vestal, you are incompetent.
     Joy Vestal you are inefficient and unprepared to properly run a paper.
     Joy Vestal you have a conflict of interest in your positions as editor and VP.
     Joy Vestal you have run the paper into the ground.
     Joy Vestal you need to resign as editor.


And who approved this contract? Has the DA seen it? Has questioning of the whole incident and the facts been allowed? Has there been a Town Hall meeting about this. This is the splitting of the Village and its administrative functions into bits and pieces as they are outsourced to others and Barbara Cornish, is this your idea as you have campaigned so desperately to get an outside management firm - and then what? You remain as the Village contact?
     Time to get rid of the people in UCO, certainly the one at the top and his wicked buddy. Get rid of them and we can fix the mess. TIME FOR THE RETURN TO TERM LIMITS AND THROW THE BUM OUT!
