TRUE COLORS

     Remember that being sung by Cyndi Lauper? Well, we have a revealing of someone's true colors in an article written by a reporter Matt Kwong, for CBC News. and guess who the highlighted speakers for this article re Century Village are? Why none other than everyone's favorite sniveling sneaky slithering folks Joy Vestal and David Israel. What else to call one or two who would usurp the contacts and ideas of others?Yup, and you can add in to the stew a bit of Barbara Cornish who spoke of the preponderance of Democrats over Republicans here in the Village and claimed to be a Republican herself, but neglected to point out that she attends all the Democratic club meetings. Wonder why that is?
     In any case, and oh, David, really? 67? You went to college as a single digit genius perhaps? Or ran your infamous NSA unit as a preteen or barely legal young adult? If you are 67 then I am 37! Why are you afraid of telling your age? Is it because your mind has stultified already and you want to convince people that you are still young and vital? Hate to tell you this, but many of us know that the opposite is true and your mind has calcified quite a bit already. In any case, what with your eternal publicity out there for your Dictator for Life position, one can easily figure out an approximate age and it ain't 67! By the way, since your birthday is in 1939, you are or will be 77. Not 67!
     Anywhoooo, back to the program. This Canadian article was mentioned before by one of your opponents and you publicly made a great deal of fun about it, deriding it and wow, look what happened. As usual you slithered in under the table and took it over and all to the detriment of the Villagers. Your contempt for the Villagers comes thru loud and clear. Your contentions that people here vote for someone because of a "nice Jewish name" is insulting to the intellect of many intelligent and aware people who do not sit around in your "cemetery village". Yes, folks, this is what was conveyed to the reporter by the two chief spokespeople for us, it seems. We are barely tottering along using our walkers, sunk or is it mired, in the past, dancing to the oldies and perhaps if we are lucky, we get to look at the ducks and roll a bocce ball - that is before we get exhausted by all that excitement and movement!
     Nowhere, David and Joy, do you talk of the activities, of the intellectual pursuits of people, of the writing and the lecturing done by several Villagers, of the wide usage of the entertainment possibilities in the nearby arenas such as the Kravis Center, or the Broward Center, or the Maltz, or the Lake Worth Theater or the PBD or the Opera or the orchestras or anything else. Just because the two of you are pathetic loners and do not venture into the shows even in the Village, particularly you, David, does not mean that the rest of us are hermits or dead from the neck up. We leave that to you!
     You, the both of you, who claim that your are the spokespeople for the Villagers - pardon me while I regurgitate! - are nothing of the sort. You both refuse to follow the basic principles of a good leader, the ability to gather around oneself different mindsets, different skill sets, varying opinions, deep informational research, honesty and transparency and instead you both have brought about a dictatorship, a most un-American administration of the Village ever and it seems one that will only end with your demise, literal or figurative, for you both have appropriated Dictator for Life and Editor for Life, destroying the core of our Village and yet you dare to tell this reporter that you speak for us! NO YOU DON'T!! NOT EVER!!!
     And you,  David, you poke fun at your fellow Jews, speaking of them in a derogatory manner? Remember - YOU ARE A JEW TOO, like it or not and to make this all about Bernie Sanders, as if that were the only reason, his raison d'etre for running and for his success in that campaign - how wrong can one be. In fact, he is no more a proud and open Jew than you are and his supposed "Jewishness" counted for naught as far as most people were concerned. And as for you, one who thinks that he is the demagogue that the Village needs, it is no wonder that you support the demagogue in the making and running - Trump! And you say that we should not worry for he "will change" once he is in office? Are you out of your mind? So what do we say when his temper gets the better of him and he calls for the "football" to push the button?!
     Wonder if he will do the equivalent of the wrack and ruin you have brought upon the Village only he would do it to the world. Let's see....what is the equivalent in the macro world of the following:
     Spending close to 6 million dollars on ruining our roads and keeping them so for decades.
     Negotiating illegally to bring broadband into the Village as a unit when all that UCO is allowed to do is negotiate for cable, for TV.
     Lie through one's teeth and sign contracts without DA approval. A most recent example? When did anyone approve the hundreds of thousand of dollars worth of contract that was signed with CSI? Joy Vestal claims she has no idea of any such contract though she is a member of that committee. Interesting. And the lies keep coming.
     Neglected important legal preparation re future contracts to be written and signed when the current ones expire in the near future.
     Use denigrating and demeaning language and behavior towards others, in particular those who oppose you.
     Allow the infrastructure to deteriorate.
     Allow algae to take over our waterways and then try to lie that fact away by referring to the mats of algae as grass cuttings! or that they will disappear with a little gust of wind!! Are you for real? Your opinion , your contempt for the Villagers comes thru loud and clear!
     Your consistent aloofness from the Villagers and any and all activities of it. Can't you just see the President of the country telling people that he simply does not feel like hosting the official state dinner for the leaders of the world, that he will take a nap instead, or perhaps just go admire himself in the mirror, comb his hair, or play on a computer?!
     David Israel and Joy Vestal, you have done much that should shame you but you have definitely reached a peak in this article. You speak of the residents with contempt. You allow the reporter to think that you represent us and the true life here. You speak in derogatory terms and tones both implicitly and explicitly of people of Jewish descent here in the Village, and your nastiness just comes shinin' through, don't it!!Maybe what we need to do is catch one of those alligators, stick a clock in it and let you hear the ticking of said clock, so that you too, like Captain Hook, will know that your time is a comin' and soon enuf pardner, soon enuf!. Tick tock, tick tock Remember the line, "speak for yourself, John?" Well, speak for yourself, David, Joy. You certainly do not speak for me nor for a great many of the Villagers. Your true colors are ugly as all hell can be. Please go color them elsewhere. Tick tock.
     By the way, David, supporter of Trump, he who will change after he is in office - uh huh. I have a question for you. You are the professional self avowed patriot, so what do you have to say about Trump picking a fight with the family of a Captain in the US Armed Forces who happened to be a Muslim and who died in a heroic manner, defending his men, died for his country and eventually down the line, died for Trump and for you and me. So what is with the fight. Who cares if his mother spoke or not. Perhaps she could not, overwhelmed so by emotion and loss. But in any case she was there, standing there for a son who died while doing his duty for his country. Perhaps Trump can find a different victim to pick on. What do you have to say about this behavior, David Israel? Or do you approve of it?
