WHAT'S UP?

What is up is the future of the world. What kind of world do we see ahead of us as we move forward - or do we move backwards? Do we choose dangerous dictators who take down prosperous and improving countries? It matters not if it is Brazil of Venezuela or Hungary or Malaysia or Syria. Or America! You see, we are not immune to destruction of our way of life. Look at these countries. Look at South America which once had prosperous nations. Look at the countries of Central America and see how society has collapsed in many places into a morass of gangs and criminals.
So how does it start? With the wrong side taking advantage of democracy and rights and the good side being wishy washy, especially in the beginning. It begins with the law enforcement arms of society becoming overwhelmingly anti social as we know it. It grows when they hide facts of an investigation which would prove them wrong - as we now know took place in the fake FBI investigation into Kavanaugh. (So now we have two sexual perverts on the bench and another in the White House - way to go, America!!)It grows with mob mentality, with people chanting and ranting as a mob rather than keeping their individual selves. It blossoms with hatred, growing hatred, hurtful hatred, the words of hatred that grow poisonous branches and weeds. It is a society where one hates another and there is no trust, no humanity, no love, no unity. No hope.
Today I was at the polling place and coming and going were faces of the map of the world. Black, white, brown, and every shade in between. Young, old, and middle aged. All were coming in and I wondered as I sat there, what will happen if the vote goes the wrong way. Will all these people who know each other and say hi as they walk in and out, will they all turn on each other. Will the map of the world which united and melded here in America turn rancid as we pull away.
Tonite I see what the future will tend to be. I will sit and hold my breath. We cannot take another blow as we did in 2016 and yet the stories of turning away people, of machines not working, of all sorts of delays - and so many where the Democratic vote is heavy - sniff, people, and smell the corruption. Dear Lord but we have to come out of this better than we did. We must.
So if you have not yet voted - do so. Now. Wait till it is your turn no matter the time. It is that important.
