Actually, the entire sentence is: "Does anybody know the answer to that stuff?" Well, presumably there are people that do, else his organization and buddy would not have been charged! But for this blog, the sentence, the question, refers to more than Trump's claim of ignorance or justification for tax schemes. It refers, rather, to life as we know it today.
Perhaps I speak only for the older segment of society, we who grew up without computers, without the 'privilege' of constantly bending our heads down, fiddling with screens, ignoring the people we are with, disregarding all rules of polite society. Instead of chatter, we now have side by side distinct worlds, or worse, communication of the same two side by side people via texting rather than face to face communication. Does anybody know the answer as to why? Beats me - and a whole lot of others.
We have chosen, or been forced to, live our lives now in a constant haze, fear, of being hacked, of our passwords, which most of us cannot ever remember, being uncovered, our accounts broken into, and our information falling into nefarious hands. Yesterday, we found that that exact thing happened, even to organizations and companies thought to be too small, too insignificant, to matter. Well, when I received a warning from two Jewish oriented organizations that they were hacked, our information was at risk, then whew! Does anybody know the answer to that stuff?
Why do people use their obviously well endowed brains to go crooked, to make life miserable for so many, rather than putting those same brains to work in improving this world. There are so many areas that need help.
Why do people insist on venturing into areas where the dragons live, where dangers be? Does anybody know the answer to that? It used to be that the strange types who wished to live off the grid would stay out of sight. Today, they do not. They boldly move into mainstream lives, yesterday blocking a highway in Massachusetts, claiming they do not recognize the laws of this country. Fine, then get the hell out, but do not make life miserable for those stuck in the traffic jam you caused!! Does anybody know why these weird things happen more and more these days?
A possible answer lies in what I have previously mentioned time and time again, and found that same meme echoed regarding the insane and traitorous behavior of Josh Hawley, Senator. It is that this society, this country, has been irreparably divided, those divisions so deep, so rooted, so firmly in place in the minds of people, that there is no further help or pathway to correct it. How could we even think so, when the very top tier of legislators of this country, of every level of government, believe in lies, spout them as the truth, or come out with nonsensical statements that should nevertheless send shivers down your spine. When an idiot such as Matt Goetz says that he is going to nominate Trump to be the Speaker of the House!! Huh!!! Say what? How will history answer the inevitable question: how the hell did it come down to this state of being, of messy affairs, of determined undermining of a blessed country? How in the hell indeed!
To come full circle, I believe, like any card carrying Luddite, one opposed to new techniques and machinery, that we lost our way when we allowed the ever growing intrusion of computers, hence all others, into our personal and civil worlds. NO, I am not denying reality nor progress, but I wonder at times, more so of late, how much damage we have caused through reliance on these new 'machines', how frighteningly close the AI beings(?) are to full function. We are simply not thinking ahead, following threads, discovering, anticipating, and blocking bad outcomes.
We have lost most of our sense of being a cohesive society. People first has gone by the board, and even the unification of working together has been negated by the forced increase of working from home. Was great in the beginning, but ask people how they felt when able to go out, meet coworkers, see people, touch people, rather than look into a screen, fix the glitches and continue to remain alone. Does anybody have the answers to this stuff? Will we ever have an answer, one that enables us to mix the world of computers and the world of people in a positive manner, one with a positive trend? That would depend on the fact as to whether we teach the bright ones in this society of ours, that people matter, that others count, that crime is not the way to go. Good luck on that.
Now, excuse me, for once again, I have to go change the passwords and then try to remember them even as they become harder for the hackers to determine! And that will depend on whether or not these sites that I visit improve their own security! Does anybody have any answers - ones that are worthy of more than a second? Thought so!
Now to remember - capital letters, many numbers, many grammatical signs, at least ten figures, and to remember, just write it down! But wait, what if someone breaks in? Does anybody have an answer, and not the password manager, for when that is hacked - and it will be, all is lost and for nothing again! Answers please. Please......
