I WOKE UP THIS MORNING AND ....

... as usual booted up the computer in order to check on the world. Were we still here, or had we gone further into Cuckooland whilst I slept most of the night away. I did this with great trepidation as in today's world, one never knows...!

Local news: As usual, a huge complex planned next door,  placing myriad units of the Village under peril of flooding.  Claiming a hero's position, he claimed to withstand temptation of cash for those rights.Till now. Uh-huh - now the truth. All he needed was a good enough offer, 3/4 of a million dollars to sell the rights.

However, these are not his to sell. They belong to the Delegates, to vote upon, in a timely manner, allowing for digesting the proposal, not rushed in a half hour total from presentation to distributing tiny, printed material to voting. We have been there, done that before with disastrous results. From the poor paving contract, which nearly bankrupted us and now has us doing constant piecemeal repair, to the very poor decision re canceling Xfinity and going with Breeze, to so much in-between, enough is enough.

Under enough pressure, an offer will be presented  eventually, the engineer's report. Only when fully informed can there be a proper vote.

Questions need to be asked and honest answers given. Why was an engineer not hired before, to be prepared, as we faced this pressure to cave in, much to our detriment? Why, once again, are we doing this ass backwards, always caught on one foot, which inevitably leads to poor results for the Village. We are now paying a huge, highway robbery amount to Levy et al, because we once again were too little, too late, and run around with last minute useless actions.

Time to think carefully when voting. Talk to your delegates, take a building vote. Think. There are good people in the administration.

We need to be proactive, not merely and only reactive. Think. Pick carefully. Do not automatically check off the first listed or the faces and names vaguely ringing some faint bell in your head. Kind of like how most people choose to vote for judges! And we see the results of that!

Time for change. Time to start where we have a louder voice. Time to use that voice.

As for the national news update - tomorrow is another day.

Tomorow is also, thank G-d, another day for Yitzy, another day closer, we pray, to healing Yitzy. Remember him in your daily prayers and private conversations with the One Above.

 HEAL YITZY!

May he be granted refuah shelaymah bimheyrah beyameinu.

May he be granted a timely and complete healing.

May Hashem hear all our voices raised in prayer.
