 Aaaand so it seems that every morning perusal of the overnight news or capsules of yesterday's    highlights leads to a sense of oh dear lord, when will this ever stop? In my head, I know it will, someday, but the question that arises is thus: will the active participants actually be alive when that happens!

 Every other trial, some with longer delays than others, actually do take place in a relatively short time. However, this man and his wily lawyers, as scurvy as he is, with their conflicting interests of representation, even to their own selves being named defendants elsewhere, collude with Trump in attempts to delay, running out the clock. Or the demented plan wherein Trump actually gets elected and thus no trial, not for him nor for any other person enmeshed in this awful mess. As the country crashes!

The latest plot is to demand recusal of the judge even as their judge, Cannon, issues ignorant demands and has not a clue as to the harm her ignorance will cause to finally getting the show on the road, so the nation can finally begin a healing process long delayed and so desperately necessary. Truth will emerge, undeniably so. 

Our judiciary is so corrupt that I doubt there are enough judges around who remember and practice this: justice is nonpartisan, nonbiased, and at least make an attempt to act accordingly! But why should they, when some Supreme Court Justices are corrupt, using pathetic excuses - "well, there is no  rule that states we have to disclose gifts and  possible conflicting interest, so we actually did nothing wrong". Really!?

If a teacher told a student, it is not allowed to poke a pencil into the eyes of another, would the student be allowed to do the act with a pen as there was no pen mentioned as forbidden? That is the same inane reasoning pathetic corrupt judges such as Thomas use as he greedily accepted tuition payments, deals on real estate, a huge luxury RV, and who knows what else. We need to take up huge shovels and clear out the trashy judges who do not know the meaning of justice and begin afresh with carefully selected and vetted people who understand their role and the meaning and crucial importance of a nonpartisan nonbiased judiciary, honest at that!  

Time to get on with the dirty, hard work that will demand great devotion and receive little gratitude. Are the any around we could trust to take on this responsibility and do it cleanly, efficiently, carrying on until the job is done and the judicial system sparkles anew? We would need to seek high and low for such a person and then fight tooth and nail to get this show on the road.

Finally, there is a pet peeve of mine. Jews are a minority, in this country and around the world. That is a fact, even as they made and continue to make huge contributions to the world, to this country. Thus, when a big fuss is being made re the casting of ethnic characters with matching actors, particularly with minorities, the Jews are omitted. Jewish characters, such as Oppenheimer, Golda Meir, and others are played by non-Jewish actors. I would have no objections, as I feel talent is and should be the deciding factor involved in casting, but if other minorities are recognized, why not the Jewish people?  When secondary, even leading roles are cast as Jewish, there are gross stereotypes involved, usually accents, nasality of voice, the size of the nose, the use of hands when speaking, and snide undertones of trickery. Check it our yourself. 

 Tomorrow is another day, so simply remember, when we separate out a group it is not good. People are people. Why can children realize that and adults do not?  If we all worked together how much better we would all be.
