AULD LANG SYNE

Ever wonder what those words mean? Probably not, but think about it. Those words in the Scots   language literally mean "old long since". Basically, it is now interpreted as invoking a memory of old times, good times, times that demand or earned a place in our memories and even destinies. Thus, we sing it New Year's Eve as we move into another year with the ticking of the clock.

At present we are several months away from a New Year and we do not hear the words of auld lang syne; however, the promise and sweetness of it, the longing found within, is certainly with us. So many of us are tired of the constant drumbeat of treasonous, shocking, criminal behavior and speeches of presumed leaders. The violence they espouse, their audacious challenge of the legitimacy of the Constitution, the traditional peaceful changing of the guards, is shocking to soul and body.

Most of understand that it is not only the deranged and dangerous behavior and plans of Trump et al. No, it is the fact that so many have bought into it, jumped feet first into the reeking swamp of a future   rapidly engulfing us, much to our detriment. Does it even matter whether one joined what is actually a challenge to democracy knowingly or thru ignorance and denial of realities?

Only time will give us the final answer. Only we can chalk the ending on the blank surface of our destiny. We had better think long and hard, weigh the truths vs. the falsehoods which have been fed to us by those who have nothing good planned for us.

We have a choice immediately upon us. Do we take up the challenge, protect our America, what she is supposed to be, what she has striven to be, or do we throw in the towel and let it go. Find ourselves in the midst of an unnavigable present with a hopeless future. A class society run by selfish lunatics who cannot see the facts and truths right there. The only certainties are those of doom, a truth and reality of a growing lack of habitable area for humans, a world engulfed in despair and inevitable doom.  An ending greatly to be avoided. Yet, there it will be and in actuality, there it already is, unless we wake up and behave as we must.

What must we do? We must swallow the truth, no matter how bitter it tastes. The alternative is not only bitter, but life threatening. We must remember the law, the precept, a part of our foundation as a nation - all are equal before the law.   No exceptions. A crime is a crime and deserves equal, appropriate investigations and consequences. It should matter not whether the criminal is a former President or Senator or little guy.

NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW.

Why concern ourselves with Secret Service protection for Trump. He has forfeited all such privileges and gifts to former Presidents via his treasonous behavior, as he betrayed those he swore to protect. We owe him nothing other than protection via 23 hours a day in isolation, 1 hour a day in a cement yard, and years, decades of contemplation of his navel and his sins. That is what he has earned, a mere fraction of what he deserves.

Threats that his incarceration, even his trial, would incite civil war? Sorry, but that horse has already been saddled, ridden hard and put away soaking wet. The only way to return to any degree of sanity   is to force the deluded to understand truth and to lose their dangerous addiction to lies and dis and mis information. To become Americans once again. To be, to strive for what we should be - an example to the world, a leader for the good, a serious proponent of protection against the worst ravages of climate change, acceptance of reality as it is along with attempts to change present reality to one of hope and progress. A reality with a hopeful future.

That is America. And she deserves and needs leaders of those standards.

For those who ask, Yitzy is doing well, and has been invited by Chai Lifeline, an organization   which does wonders for kids afflicted with cancer, and for their families, to cut the ribbon at the start of the Bike for Chai, for Life. It is indeed an honor, a recognition of his courage and determination. We hope and pray that this ribbon is also the start of a better time, a defeat of his cancer and a return to a promising future. We hope and pray as have so many of you.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

This hope has only been made available and possible via the togetherness of so many, as we all joined together in prayer and hope for his and for all cancer struck children, for their complete recoveries.

Only a similar togetherness can save humanity, save the planet and rescue America.

May we all be able to sing of auld lang syne, soon, with sweet memories and even sweeter hopes.

Together.

TogetherB'yachad.

Together. Together. Together.

Together we can heal the nation.

HEAL THE WORLD.

HEAL YITZY!

Yitzchak Elimelech ben Chana Sarah

May he be granted refuah shelaymah bimheyrah beyameinu.

 AMEN. AMEN
