NOPE, NOT TODAY.

  Nope. Many times that nope. As I sat down this morning, primed with the thought that came to me during the night, my eyes glanced quickly at the little daily piece of info: time and date. Whoa! How could I have missed the import of that information? Most probably because we are in our Homeland, our place of peace, of history, of nation. Oddly enough, according to the majority of the world, this is exactly the place not to seek peace and certainly note find it. Not in this place on earth which seems to have an affinity for woes of violence and eternal threat and death. 

Well, that is not my problem. That is the problem of those whose thinking is twisted. Whose hate consistently boils within. But for me, this is a place   where a glance out of my window spreads a biblical scene of millennia age in its most recent portrayal. Daily new life in an ancient homeland. Forever facing challenges, forever in dispute, yet forever coming out as the victor. And always   another upcoming holiday providing for thought and appreciation, for searches to keep things as they are, yet always seeing to give rise to ever new moments and hours and days. 

Assurances of even better times to come. And of pride and love and a realization that we, along with our partner, a third of our entity, that we at least can see new branches and growth of family moments, of family achievement, along with the eternal hope that we have passed along principles we have held dear, of goals achievable yet often difficult to maintain. In fact, this family is what we see as the future of an ancient people. Who have held on to       a fabric of belief, of prayer, of values challenging     even as they provide the basis of a life hopefully well and properly lived. 

 So what is it that can drive other thoughts of other blog postings? It is our 59th wedding anniversary. A wedding that remembers what it is that a marriage means, far more than the wedding itself. The wedding lasts for hours, its memories forever, in one way or another. But the marriage is what counts, even if of brief duration, also in one way or another, but aways remaining behind and ahead and with us in so many, many manners. 

Always there are consequences. Always there are moments of confusion and miscalculation as to importance, with the import of some deed or statement vastly underrated as to its eventual place within the history of that marriage, of that family.

Two of the thirds making up this marriage, Gerry and myself, worked very hard to build a proper life with ancient and time-tested values. We took strength from those values, even if the reasoning was not always clear to us at the time. It often took years to fully understand the events of our lives, but always together, always with belief and trust in G-d, and many times with great patience and a building understanding of what indeed has taken place.

So, from two rather young, rather unknowing of what life held for us, what love truly means and entails, set out on a journey, which thanks to our efforts and the oversight of Hashem, we have made it to this point.

59 years of marriage. To 120.   

TOGETHER.

Yesterday.

Today.

Tomorrow.

Thank you, Hashem, and for allowing us to build a future with our children and their children and on down the years.

Amen.

And yes, for those who need to ask, we love each other even more than we did at that beautiful wedding.

A FEW DAYS AND SO WHAT HAS CHANGED?

  Frankly, nothing much has changed at all other than for the worse. Perhaps the pain has subsided just a tad as I push the envelope trying to get more freedom and ease in movement, but it ain't exactly easy. And when I look to the outside world, I don't see anything that got much better there either. Israel, despite all of its loss, all of its bloodshed once again in overflowing quantity, is still blamed for the ugliness of October 7 and for its aftermath.

Frankly, it is very difficult to comprehend. Since when has it been a sin, a crime against humanity to defend oneself, to defend one's nation when it is under attack? The only way that works out is for people to change the definition of truth and lies, distinguish real from fantasy in the erroneous direction which benefits their crooked perusal of reality and the absolute immorality of trying to foist all blame and all harm and all accusations against those who have many justifiable reasons to point out the fallacy of those who refuse to admit the truth. Those who look for excuses to whitewash their own crimes against humanity as they accuse others of doing all they had done; the evil they had pursued as they skewed the truth six ways to Sunday!  

It has worked before. Over thousands of years. The same lies covered in false words growing in sophistication even as they and their falsehoods fall deeper and deeper into the worst of humanity. The stunning quickness at which these words of danger and hate were accepted and built up. The believability of the falsehoods and denials of actuality surrounding those horrific days and all the days and months and years that have followed are     echoes of brutal pasts.

And then it is insisted that these words of hate and enmity, of a humanity never changing, certainly not for the better, to be quoted. As if words direct from the mouth of the One Above. The only one who knows the truth of it all, the motivations of all, and can separate the misled from the leaders and their twisted motivations. 

Their hands are open, their mouths are open, speaking words of pleading, of understanding, of repentance. Acknowledgement that they have indeed done wrong, that they have violated the words of the covenant, of the contract between Hashem and His children. The pleading, the appeal is to the Lord Above but unfortunately too many times evidently the phone lines to the phones of the heavens are clogged, broken, out of service. When will the repairman come? If I knew the answer to that well, I guess it would be the same as if you knew the answer to that.

There is much that we humans do not understand. There is much that we have done wrong over the centuries, yet we have equally as stubborn, continued. to choose the wrong road. That is the road that too many people, the majority of people continue to cling to.

And so, we are in the unenviable situation with the offenses against us having been turned around and used as weapons of accusation against us. And the world buys into this ugliness. For it suits their needs. It cleanses their hands. They claim it justifies all that they do. For if we, the Jews and our righteous supporters, dare to protest, dare to fight back or worse, gain the upper hand, it is deemed as if we have offended Nature itself. 

In fact, simply by surviving it seems we have broken the rules, or have taken out contracts with the Devil himself, for how else to explain the very annoying fact that these people, this stubborn. persistent nation, the targets over the millennia of those who crave to shed their blood, whose desire is to inflict cruelty upon them, as much as possible, as long as possible, should not have been able nor capable of survival. Not only survival but always, it seems uncannily are able to return to their feet, survive and thrive. 

When the going gets tough, the tough get going. We have had to be the tough ones since time immemorial. Such has been our past, our yesterday. 

And it looks no better as we examine our todays we are living,

And certainly, our tomorrows have no great hope.

But that would be wrong. For every year, every century, after every dastardly attack, after all the calamities and accusations rained upon us, despite all the malicious lies and the incorrigible behavior of our enemies, Am Yisroel Chai - Lanetzach.  forever

There is no reason to think otherwise.

History is history and no amount of lying or deadly wishes can make it otherwise.

One day. One day, hopefully soon, we will be vindicated with clear and transparent truth.

And in the meanwhile, we remain strong in our faith. Promises made and kept. Threats also have befallen us as we were warned.

And hence there is no reason to doubt our history in its entirety.

Unfortunately, I took a bad fall yesterday and will need a few days to get back to par. In the meanwhile I wish all a New Year filled with peace and happiness. May all our deeds work for the good and may we find a unity sadly lacking at present.

NO, YOU ARE MOST DEFINITELY NOT!

  I hate to bust your bubble, but you are most definitely not what you claim to be. And actually, I'm not sorry to bust your bubble. There's something very wrong here.  Speaking in mameh lashon" words that are very clear to those who would deny them though the label sticks. and the meaning is clear.

What you and people seem to forget is that once a Jew, always a Jew, a profoundly deep privilege. It often demands a great price for that privilege and too often, throughout history there have always been those among the nation who refuse the burden of this privilege. Perhaps it frightens them. Perhaps they feel that this designation "Jew" separates them from the rest of society. We can discuss all day long this in a waste of time.There are always people, weak of nature, weak of pride who turn away from the word Jew.  Yet even as they refuse their "Jewishness" in the very next sentence or even the one prior to it, they reclaim it in a twisted manner.

From the time of the Exodus, when some of these enslaved Jewish people expressed an intention to remain mired in their slavery. From the traveling group who instigated and aroused negativity and doubt among the Nation. To those who did not trust, despite all they had seen and knew, that their Lord would not desert them.  

In fact, who had not deserted them but rather supported them and guided and guarded them, with problems arising from those who had not the faith necessary to remain committed and trusting of their Guardian.   Almost constantly throughout the ages, there appeared to be at least one person, or groups of people, who felt comfortable denying their identity or shifting it so that it was almost unrecognizable.  Then, if it was an advantage, politically, economically, pulling it out of the closet, but always sure and definite of remaining apart from the general body of the Jewish nation.

So, Mr. Ed Miliband in your oh so proud position as Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, you are not a proud Jew, most definitely NOT!  

A proud Jew walks tall, erect and proud, not hiding nor downplaying his Jewishness. walks with his head erect. Eyes and ears and mind open and clear. Ever ready to defend his people and contribute to their wellbeing. 

It is the Jew who recognizes the importance of Israel and the very personal acts of salvation and rescue it has provided for those in need, for those who are oppressed in other lands of the world. For those who KNOW that having a Jewish state, the land of Israel is critical. For those who have taken to heart, through all the centuries, all the tragedies, all the prayers and reminders and promises and exhortations to return. To return to our Homeland. To help build and rebuild countless times, to always have a segment of the nation on that land.

What are you and others like you doing, intending when you falsely, deeply, erroneously, traitorously trash a nation which is a modern-day miracle. It is now on its way in many aspects to indeed becoming a nation holding up a light to other nations of  earth. Thus, fulfilling the Promises of the Lord, the threats and punishments and the return to that land of milk and honey - and AI, and chips and literature and culture and research and of course, always with a lending hand when other nations are in need.    

No, Ed, my boy, my not so friendly chap. When you trot out your supposed pride in being a Jew, it is only when it suits you politically or economically. To give you a heads up in the filthy game of governmental, political power plays and ploys in that area.

So, instead of paying pride to your nationality and your ethnicity, to indeed acknowledge with pride all that the Jewish nation has accomplished. Despite all the hate and the opposition and the determination to demean, debase, belittle and disappear us from the face of this earth, against all that, how much the Jewish people have accomplished. 

And your reaction to all this is to hide, cowering from those who hate Jews, buying in on the lies of centuries, past, present and most probably future. Worse, and most inexcusable of all is that you use that suddenly remembered connection to your personage as a Jew, and use it to further endanger them, the State of Israel, and yes, you dangerous moron, yourself and your children.

The bad people have always managed to find a stranglehold upon the rest of the Jewish people.  Forever their evil instincts overpower any good ones that they have, if they have any at all. This ugliness of self-denial of self-abnegation crosses the pond, as you say, into America. 

These people too, are to be considered traitors - not thinking properly, not thinking with pride, not thinking with acknowledgment of the truth of the situations besieging and besetting Jews around the world, including our state, Israel. Certainly, they do not understand how dangerous this adoption of the coloration of the liberal is to the people. Why is he dying to jump onto the train of those whose every other word, if not every word, consists of blame and threats against the Jewish people, of which he is one. 

When claiming their coloration as liberal, the now false liberals who buy into the hate for Jews, the intense desire and calls for the end of Israel and all who live within, this is what they are protecting and growing round the nation and in fact, round the world. When you, Jeremy Ben-Ami, most certainly NOT a son of his people, boasts that he has raised and will spend $4 million on opposing all Jewish and non-Jewish candidates who support Israel, he is aiding and abetting, empowering the very ones who have called out for your death. Along with the deaths of all Jews, even those who hate themselves, who deny their Jewish blood.   

This questioning and complaining that, well, if Israel, if the Jewish people would consider it enough and be grateful for the rather shaky permission of being allowed, non-guaranteed living space within nations of the world, the haters and non-thinkers are dead between the ears. How many times have we even been granted rights and then have them brutally denied once again. 

 The very book that most other religions follow or base their own religions upon, state that Promise of Hashem to us, His people, His Chosen people. Sometimes not so good to be so chosen, I guess, as we are supposed to serve as exemplary models for others but inevitably, because we are people, subject to errors of thought or behavior, we are not perfect. But we do try, I believe more than any nation.

There is always a learning process. All people and all nations have a process. However, the worst of this learning process is when people refuse to learn from errors and repeat them over and over again.

we continue to go wrong in some way, and then fail to meet the challenge and go right where we had previously gone wrong. But what we do know, always and forever, that we are not alone and all the human hatred and denial cannot touch the Promises of the Lord.    

WHOSE IN CHARGE?

  Do you remember that old TV show where someone was in charge, and I believe it turned out to be Charles. Somehow, every time there was a problem, a question of possibility, probability, positivity, and morality, he always managed to come out on top of the decision and teach some moral lesson to those of whom he was in charge. Nice world that would be if indeed that would be the case. Unfortunately, if we were doing percentages on proper decision making and proper leading choices, I believe we would be in the lower end of the percentage of choosing, of making the right decision.

In fact, even if we did originally anticipate at the outset some miracle, that by some strength of character, we would make the proper decision, the end would not be the anticipated, hoped for one. That is, it would then be tampered with, kneaded and reshaped from top to bottom and the outcome would not be recognizable as emerging from the original decision.

Why would that be the case? In fact, why am I so sure that would be the case? Because that indeed has been the case almost since the beginning of mankind. Certainly, if we looked into governments today or of the past, recent or ancient, we could very clearly see the uncertainty of the makers of those decisions. We can almost see through this stall, into the mind and be witness to the calculations and machinations of decision making among our very poorly chosen leaders. Politics, longevity in office, money raising, influence and so much more come into play.

The question then arises as to why we, the people who are supposedly exercising our right to choose these leaders, why do we almost consistently in the best records we have, allowed the dregs of the bunch so much leeway into possibility of office while those we truly, definitely need, are too often left by the wayside, stunningly so, too short of time to recoup, reload, and do the right thing. and be prepared for tie next surprise attack.

I can find no answers that make sense. I can't find any pathway through the bedraggled and overrun darkest jungle, the one where the very heart is  indeed the heart of darkness. What then happens? When we meet constant defeat at the hands of those we know are doing wrong; When we find no path able to be chopped through, nothing discernable   beneath the matted jungle floor - what do we do? What can we do? And the key question - what in actuality do we really want to do?

Charles had the time, the stamina. and the will to help his rather hapless and hopeless humans in his charge, to lead them. Most importantly, he would gently aid them in seeing the truth that is not too far, but too often hidden behind and/or beneath dark glowering clouds. And when the eyes and the ears fall into the habit of not seeing, not hearing, not listening, to return to the real, that which must be acknowledged is nigh unto impossible much of the time. Too much of the time.

Now leave the theoretical and return to the empirical, that which is real, that which too often backs us into a corner from which we have not a clue as to how to emerge safely and soon and wiser. Instead, what we do is to repeat B, which is actually a repeat of A. And if we go back just a bit of time, we will find that X, Y and Z preceded A. It seems we are either out of ideas or if not, too lazy to perfect, and come out on the proper winning side.

Why do we do this? Why do we humans never seem to learn to do what is right, to avoid the wrong? Perhaps because those with the opportunity to maneuver themselves into positions of influence and power do indeed want to take up that opportunity. They do not wish to let it go by. Too good to pass up or so they think And the bottom line is that we find our way back to the ever-returning morass of troubles and woes and ills. Somehow, we can never see our way clear to the opening of possibilities, even to probabilities encouraging and necessary to the progress of mankind.

What I feel most difficult to understand is why the scum of the Earth rise to the top and the good of the Earth sink below the surface always enmeshed and enmired in the goop from whence they cannot escape. Are humans that stupid? Do we really think, believe, as we see in the papers and on the newscasts every day the exchange of idiotic threats and promises. None of which come true. Yet out of the mouth in ever constant flow, inanities, threats, promises, alliances, breakups, not really wishing to lead in a positive way. Instead, they really wish to lead in a manner in which nothing much is demanded of them. To exchange words tit-for-tat. A constant overflowing stream of the worst of mankind. To abjure responsibility for gross errors and for time and time again, to place humanity in times of existential threats.

And of course, being human, they make or commit these errors over and over again on the same groups of people they deem 'worthy' of hate or too weak to fight back. To retaliate meaningfully in such a manner that the evil stops on the closest dime.

I hate it. I hate those who insure its survival. Its never-ending ugliness, the bloodshed. The world threatened. As the axis trembles more and more. As the wrath and the disappointment of the Lord make themselves ever more visible.

Can we not do better?

Do we truly not want to do better?

FIRE AND ICE

 Have you ever had the feeling that your blood was a boil? That you were burning up from the inside, that even as that fire raged within, along with it came a personal Ice Age, freezing the very blood in your blood system?  How does one reconcile these two very weird sensations, very opposite emotions? Why would somebody feel such a conflict within and what could possibly lead to such an contradictory state of being?

To understand that, both you and I must go back in time. A bit of time, an hour of time, an eternity of time? A millennium of time? I don't even know if it makes a difference. But let's take present time as it is sufficient to the purpose thereof, if such a statement can even be made and expect to be understood and believed. Modern times have turned treacherous to the Jewish people and while not a new phenomenon it is certainly new to many of us at least in its degree and in the distance it has spread. Not to mention the blink of an eye in which this has taken place.

One might think that the normal question, or questions to ask are those seeking to delve into the mysteries of this plague and must seek out within the traits of the persecuted, of the Jewish people, as to why this is indeed a recurring event. When these searchers make their "discoveries", they expect us to heed their words and "understand" what we have done wrong over the millennia and change our ways; hence making us responsible for the hate thrown at us in ever increasing volume.

But that is so clearly not the answer. It is rather, I believe, a character defect of the haters as they shriek it about throughout the lands of the earth and unfortunately manage to convince others to 'join in the fun'. In fact, the numbers of those who have attached themselves to this murderous pastime,   who buy into this ugliness, have increased beyond all that we thought - hoped - had been diminished beyond return in any serious manner.

How mistaken we were! How shocked, yet not so shocked were we as we saw the clock turn backwards The voices of hate grow louder and words carry farther, longer, and it seems there is no way of shutting this ugliness down. Worst of all, it has been a shock to the hearts of our souls, for now it is clear that once again, the worst of humanity has gained the upper hand and expects to exercise that hand to the utmost of their abilities. If no opportunity arises, why they will create one, so clever are they!

It is so very confusing to me as to how people can think that this is the right road to travel, the right thing to do. To spread, share and grow their crooked and nasty beliefs with others. That they are right to wreak violence, hate and isolation upon this group of people who have done nothing but give good to the world, but that is a no, never mind for reasoning is not to be found within this emotion. That is what it is. It is exactly an emotion, evil, cursed emotion which endows people with the ability to be self-righteous and act proud as they do things, say things for which they would have been slapped silly by their parents or grandparents.

Take a look around the world. Nation  follows nation, following the twisted misfit Pied Piper and dance to his crooked tunes. Salivating over the liberty, the backwards freedom that the exercising of hate gives them. This hate enables them to bring down hell on Earth on people for no cause other than their own ugliness inside.

 It is a return of all the times through history when Jews have been the demeaned, the least of society. We were to be grateful to remain in whatever country and take the abuse, the hate, the violence, the torment and remain silent and compliant. The hatred of the Jewish nation arose out of jealousy and the wonder as to how this people survived it all. Not only that, but they managed time and again not only to survive but thrive. To rebuild the land which they had been given by the Lord Above, the only one with that right.

That was too much for these evil people and so time and again, even antisemitism was at least quieted down, held in abeyance. They struggled hard to return it to life and too often, so sadly managed to reinvigorate it and do the worst they could. But those faults, were within their black souls not within the Jewish people. 

We, the Jews of the world, this proud nation, thought that we had seen the worst of it during the horror of the Holocaust. We thought for sure this could never, would never ever be allowed to return. Certainly not in violence, not in deaths, not in numbers, not in anything. We thought the worst was over. It was not. It is not.

Today in a world which supposedly has learned where it went wrong and vowed never to go there again, that was evidently a lesson not caught and/or taught as they reneged on their promises. As they reinvigorated the horror, even as the world stood by once again and worse, unimaginably, joined in. Once again, vile names. Accusations. Isolation. Abandonment to haters. Violence unthinkable and increasing in exponential manner.

The world stood by while the attacks against Israel persisted. Grew in depth and violence with much death resulting. Whenever Israel responded as any independent, legitimate nation and state had the right to do, they were cursed. They were accused of being inappropriate in response. What should we do? Work out an algorithm which says that X amount of attacking Muslims, Arabs, Gazans, Hezbollah are equal to X numbers of Jews - civilians, children that they purposely set out to slaughter.

The truth and the facts were denied. The lies were instead accepted as truth. The violation of all codes of decency - using children as shields, using hospitals and community centers and places of worship and schools as headquarters so they could shout to the world how Israel did such terrible things. Digging tunnels and entryways and exits from within homes, from under cribs, from kitchens, from anywhere.

Each time Israel suffered under these attacks, the missiles, the rockets, the terrorist attacks and infiltrations and responded, they went in, did what they must to beat them back, and then left before finishing the job, as it should have been. Why? Because the crocodile tears of the world flowed from their eyes crying for pity upon these people who have no sense of decency. Even as Israel has the right no, the obligation to defend its people no matter what it takes. We will not stand by and bare our throats and our chests to the knives and bullets of our enemies, who hate us above all else and who will not rest until they succeed.

Well, that success will never be. No matter how wrong the nations behave. No matter how Israel is denied its rights and the right to exist. No matter who spouts hate, calling for murder. Calling for the disappearance, the total disappearance of the Jewish people. No, no matter where they live, no matter how much they have fooled so many. No matter how much the foolish Jews deny themselves. No matter how loud the chant of from the river to the sea, the claim of Palestine, a country and a nationality which never existed until modern times when it was created. When they refused, the sizable territory because they wanted it all. Two state solution never was, never will be, until these perpetual enemies of the Jewish nation are re-educated and taught properly. 

The chant of Mat al Yahud -death to the Jew rings constantly through the air. Be it in Arab territory. In nations around the world. In America. Never any cooperation. There were only calls for death, plans to wreak horrible events upon them, to be the best terrorist that they could be. 

And so when October 7th, 2023, took place, when the massacre, the echoes of the Holocaust rang through Israel, through the world. When the siren sounded, when the screams of the Nova dancers, of the children being burned alive, the babies thrown into ovens. The old and the young, the men and the women, the infants hauled off into a brutal captivity. When the beast choked the 9 month old baby and his 4 year old brother and their mother. When they starved their captives. When they beat them, when they raped them. 

The world stood by. The world could care less. The world accused us, accused Israel of the attack, of invasion under no provocation, even faking it all. When the truth came out, these horrors of the invasion, when they couldn't deny that fact, they claimed it came about because of righteous reasons. What righteous reasons? Because they couldn't kill enough Jews in each of their other attacks? Or  because the Jewish nation got their act together and chased them out of Israel and back into Gaza, there to remain until they disarmed, until they disavowed war.

Go watch Fauda especially season 5 Episode 7 and 8 and see the horror. Bleed with that horror. Never mind the warning that it is almost unbearable to see, and those who underwent these tortures not to watch. Take it in through your eyes the hatred that these Muslims had had for Jews. The lies they consistently told. Oh, we will never hurt you, for you are Muslim, or Islam tells us not to kill women and children - and then do exactly that - and worse. Kill them all was their true credo.  

My hatred for you people is beyond measurement. I sat there watching this horror and the fire and the ice burned in my blood. I hate you all. You are all fucked up people and I wish upon you all that was wished and brought down upon us.

I call upon all of you out there, those of you who know right from wrong, those of you who know the truth, to stand up tall, to stand up straight and shout out the truth. If you claim you read the Bible, then read it again. See the truth. Live by the truth. For those of you who think you can just stand by and say nothing, well, they'll be coming for you as well. The idea of the caliphate, the idea of Shariah law, the idea of the Muslim religion being the ruling religion. It hasn't ever gone away. It just has hidden itself under lies. But it is for sure there and I call curses down upon you and I call curses upon all those Jews who deny who they are. As they join in lines with those who chant for our death, for their own death! We call upon the wrath of Heaven to fall upon those who curse us, who isolate us, who wish us dead and disappeared. And all those adults who poisoned our young, and enabled this twisted world to flourish.

To Hell with you.

Read the Bible. Read the words of the patriarchs.

Read the threats and the promises of goodness.

IS IT REALLY SO-?

  I spent a good part of the day today reading through about four days' worth of newspapers that I hadn't had the chance to do before. I don't know whether to say that it was more uplifting than disappointing or overall, more disturbing at what I read and what it all meant, at least to me.

It seems that many, many people around the world have their own ideas about what has been happening and what can/or should be done about it. What must be done about it? Or how we have to give up all hope and give in to the helplessness of overwhelming odds and remain a species which never seems to learn to do the right thing, which never seems to learn from its experiences and hence is doomed, foretold, to live through these things over and over and over again.

 Are we doomed to be the jackass species which never seems to be able to pull itself out of the mud pit into which it is jumped feet first? Do we enjoy ourselves pontificating great warnings and suggestions and then proceed to ignore it all? All so that our predictions prove true, gaining a reputation as a great foreteller with a deep understanding of the foibles of the human race? 

  Every word that then emerges from their mouths are treated as pearls of wisdom, of specific directions and suggestions as to what we must do. How we must understand the ways of life and the ways of the world. And, of course, it all must be filtered through their tongues and eyes and mouths and ears. Apparently, only what is inside their head between their ears that is applicable to the joys and the woes of the world. And of course, those woes have simply come about because their singular advice was rejected or not followed exactly as they should have done.

What we get as a result of overdone, overgrown cases of hubris and self-abnegation from those who really do know better, with better advice, but who are so intimidated that they find themselves paralyzed and unable to speak up. Too often it is the case of too little, too late or they have convinced themselves that for sure, some compromise can be drawn. but with too many timorous steps, their points of compromise are overlooked, denied, deemed insufficient or too weak or too extreme and they die before they have fully lived.

Always there are questions remaining behind, analyzing too late what went wrong. What was missing? Who bollixed the whole thing up and when they deem some unlucky person that One, woe befalls him/her and lives are changed drastically. As a result, the understandable conclusion is drawn that it is better to shut one's mouth, keep one's nose to the grindstone, never challenge the look with one's eyes or allow for a revealing tic of a muscle.

Many echoes of questions unvoiced remain. Who's really at fault in this matter? Why did we, the rest of the people, allow the fallacies to remain unchallenged? Why did we allow hypocrisy to rule the day and never call anyone on it? Why did we always give in to the excuses of looking at other people condemning what they do rather than looking behind us and seeing it in our own backyard or already in our front yard for that matter.

What is the matter with us? Why can we not see ourselves in an honest reflection? Why must we constantly find ourselves doing the very same things in the very same way and getting the very same results and thinking that is okay. Worse, we then try to do it again and again and again hoping for a miraculous change in fortune but not arriving does it: the very definition of insanity.

Why do we allow politics and specifically certain blocks of politicians and supporters to rule the day? To push aside any possibility of improvement, of positive change. Why do we allow them to interfere? Why are we badgered into passing their demanded rules? Even when we know that these results will bring troubles and woes with not a whisper of any positive movement. And yet we continue to cheer that naked emperor riding his ever more broken-down nag trying to convince himself and his people that all is well.  

What are the results of these repetitive failures? These delusions, these eminent inanities masquerading as pearls of wisdom? Simple. Open your eyes and look around. See the truth. Look past the obfuscating smog and dark clouds and the ringing bells of danger. Block all that out and allow only true reason and comprehension to work its way out into the open.  

Obscenely wealthy Uber rich build their multiple homes whilst hundreds of thousands go homeless.

Wasteful epicurean delights are placed before these people whilst billions around the world go hungry - even as most of the food is trashed. Tariffs issued due to Ego Wars make necessities of life more costly and unaffordable. More go without than with.

Nations are held to different standards, and the one is never called to task while the other is always called to task with no explanations, no reasons accepted. Only condemnations.

As life grows more uncertain, even frightening, the people of the world resort once again to hate, to prejudice, deep and ingrained. Murderers suffused with evil rampage through the lands and return to barbaric customs, which we had mistakenly thought to have long ago erased. 

I believe worst of all, for this allows for very little room to find the way through this morass of ugliness, is the eagerness and skills and enthusiasm with which we have engaged in the most evil aspects of mankind.

We pile our anger and accusations on an ancient people, the Jewish nation despite all the best efforts of mankind, have managed through thick and thin to come from the dangers and darkest and deepest of dungeons to the highest points. It drives people crazy.

We ignore the fact of Russian false claims as the horse is pulling their only wagon to beat down Ukraine into rubble. Constantly shooting purposely. at infrastructure, at civilians themselves. Why is this violation not called to account? They are the ones who invaded.

Why is it Israel is more called into account when they did the most horrible thing out there, evidently. Managed to survive the gross horror of October 7. And yes, rightfully so. They reacted in most forceful manner. Because the people of Israel, the people of the Jewish nation, are tired of this. We're so tired when constant attacks are waged against us. 

Now we are turned away, turned on, by nations and peoples ramped up on crack of hate and enmity.      So yes, perhaps we "overreacted", but I don't think so. How do you overreact to someone who only wishes to destroy you, to disappear you? For settling the lands of Judea and Samaria, for those lands were promised to the Jewish people from the beginning of time by the Lord God Himself. Nor did we go in and grab those lands. 

Those lands were the source of invaders, and we fought back. And so we hold them. They were and are and always will be the land of the People of Israel. Are we the only nation in the world, the only people in the world who are forced, who are demanded to return that which actually belongs to them? The land which we developed? I can name many, many nations around the world who are living in lands that they took over from other people who were there before them. But that evidently is not to be mentioned

I could go on and on and on. For example, I thought we had abolished slavery. So why, in those poor, embattled lands of Sudan and Somalia and Eritrea and Moslem lands are people capturing women and children? And selling them as slaves. The very people that the world cries over as the oppressed who are actually the oppressors. And yet we are deaf, dumb and blind to the truth of that.

Is it really so?

 I am afraid so.

Will we ever see a time of the light of truth, the hearts of generosity and the acceptance of all mankind as fellow members of a species gifted with the possibilities of going far, rather than seeing only the differences and exaggerating them and hurting others because of them?

How much more patience Will the Lord Above    have with these people? Have we not been warned enough. Volcanoes, earthquakes, huge storms, deep droughts, floods, rampaging fires, viciousness of people, extinction threats.  

Where the hell are our brains? 

Where the hell are our hearts?

I hope we can find them soon before it is too late.

If it is already not so.

IT'S COMMUNICATION!

  "What we've got here is a failure to communicate." So spoke a corrupt and brutal man with power over those incarcerated within the prison he oversaw. A small man with little to speak of, placed in a position of power over those who cannot fight back, and who takes advantage of the situation to do his worst, all the better for his ego and self-importance. 

Unfortunately, these types of officials who matter not much and add less than that to the benefit of others in the world, are in the position of primacy these days and hence, the communication is negligible, if at all. And further hence, that is the underlying reason for combination of such that has the world chasing its tail, with nations competing for the "Biggest Bag of Hot Air" award. Much to our regret, the harm caused by these oh so little people add to an aggregate sum which threatens the world and world order.

These small, brained creatures resemble the dinosaurs of old who maintained order and ranking by using sheer size and weaponry available, that which came with birth. Those are our supposed leaders of today who use what they have, brutality, meanness, greed, influence and money to fight their way to the top, using all as steppingstones and paying no never mind to the trail of destruction and tragedy they leave behind.

These people are the scum of the earth raised to power via circumstances and lack of understanding, attention from the very ones whose lives are at stake, and even apathy, either not caring or having given up hope of better times.  To combat these combined deficiencies is difficult and unfortunately, the ones whose stars shine brightly in such times are the very ones who should have been thrust aside but are not.

Hence, welcome to the world of today, where the intellect of the leaders is limited and diluted by a lack of decency and by overwhelming desire to gain and hold power, influence and accumulate great wealth and attain longevity in office. One of the saddest moments is when a former leader of greatness and achievements forsakes it all and grasps with greedy hands and nasty mouth onto his/her power and their self-interest and refuse to concede to the truth and go out with a proud legacy left behind, one that will live through history. 

Now take a stroll through the ranks of our world leaders and then go back and reread the first sentence of this posting and all that follows. Is not that the truth? These leaders are not leading at all, unless into perdition and danger, into hopelessness and a future tainted with danger and loss, lives denied the advantages and benefits of the best traits of humanity, which are instead derided and denied room to grow and flower.

If we understood where we went wrong, we could hopefully restart the world where that was a well-known fact, a world of goodness and sharing, where we can acknowledge that we are one, no matter how small the divisions we artificially introduce. 

Those divisions indeed foster the lack of true and meaningful communication and instead build walls where there should be none, dividing where there should be unity, where we finally have internalized the fact that while the possibilities are infinite, nothing good will take place unless we truly feel the need to share, to seek justice, to shun hate and prejudice. A world where equity is not a term to brutally misuse but a word of true meaning and righteous application. 

Will we ever see such a world, for till today we have not yet been so privileged. We need to work harder, to actually feel the necessity of this truth. However, when looking at leaders, at the results of recent elections and upcoming ones, well, despair can make a highly visible presence within societies plagued by the ugliness and mistrust, and total lack of communication, either on purpose or by circumstance. 

Politicians who refuse to change, who think that by shifting a word or two promising that which had been promised before, yet never achieved reality, will be excused, and their incompetence, and the danger they pose for societies round the world, must be removed from positions where they make ever more permanent the worst of society, the worst of leaders, and the worst present and future of the world.

Until that happens, we, the people of the world, will never achieve what we must if we are to create a positive outlook and a better level of achievement. Without true effort meeting success at improving   communication amongst all the peoples of earth, with truth within the words, well, same old, same old. Much to our distress.

Yesterday. Today. Tomorrow.

Is it not time to reach for the stars rather than remain in the muck?

AS THE WORLD TURNS

  We have all seen, probably many times over, a depiction of the world turning at an angle calmly going forward on its axis, as it is supposed to do. It is, in fact, how our planet maintains its stability and keeps our weather, our environments, and in fact, our very existence and survival in a welcoming situation rather than in a hostile one.  We who inhabit this planet, and all the other lifeforms, are responsible for its maintenance and its respect.

Unfortunately, we human have fallen down on the job and have taken along with us on this suicidal run, many of these other life forms. A great tragedy, but do we pay attention, give positive lifechanging attention to this matter? Some, a very few of us actually attempt to draw the eyes of the inhabitants to this issue, but too many, mired in their destructive greed and grasping hands ignore it, shove it to the side, accuse others of crazed thinking, wanting only to go backwards rather than forward.

However, that's not the truth of the matter and we're constantly denying that truth, that harsh reality of time running sort, stomping on those who come forward with it.  And as time goes on, at faster and faster pace, we can expect a change and that sublime picture may undergo major changes. 

Its calm, long lasting, life preserving and reassuring adherence to its axis driven rotations will wobble more and more, destabilize on its rotation and well, we can expect the changes we are already facing, to grow more life threatening and destabilizing. One day, soon enough and possibly, perhaps probably, too late, and we will take a look around and understand what we have done. What we have allowed to be done to our home.

I don't even know if our existence will be long enough to see how the world actually turns in different manner. We have already well advanced the consequences of our misthinking and self-destructive actions. Now we intend apparently, to initiate once again, yet another openly world involving war, with terribly efficient and deadly weaponry. 

At its end, if there is to be an end, we will have become a place of destruction and horror. People will struggle to barely survive, band together in tribes returned to bare existence, armed with stones and sticks to defend their territory. That attempt to survive becomes even more treacherous and uncertain as our axis rotation degrades and the consequences ensuing will be ours, impossible to avoid or fix or do anything other than to suffer under the deteriorating conditions.

 Too late, we will wonder how and why we got into the situation. And how and why and if we actually survive, if we plan to survive, humanity must understand that the fault was not, is not, in others but in ourselves. If we all had paid attention, had demanded attention to be paid as the world turns, how it is turning, and connected all the dots, we could have saved ourselves. 

At present I believe it is a coin toss, one of the heads I win, tails you lose category. A situation no matter what we do, will be too little, too late, too small minded, too narrow in concept and extent. It would have been different if we had paid attention to the world and the people around us. If we had paid more attention to those whom we chose - or accepted- as our leaders. If we would have stepped up and forward and actually participated in decisions of important issues but we did not and woulda, coulda, shoulda is not going to be a winning choice here.

How is it possible to pick up a paper this morning and read how Iran and the United States actually traded shells, three hitting tankers and the other hitting a navy vessel. How is this possible? How is it that almost exactly three years later we will be marking the brutal horror of the 3rd anniversary of October7 massacre.

So many Israelis, from infant to elderly, brutally, cruelly, chased and slaughtered, burned alive. With cheers of the murderers sounding clearly and insanely in the bloodstained air of the Gaza envelope. Reeking of the spilled blood of Jews once again. Ever Again. Or the raucous cheers of victory of those not "innocent" Gazans who joined in the cheers, in tne brutality, who boasted of it in phone calls home, who paraded their loot stolen from those they murdered. who turned a dance festival into yet another site of brutality against Jews.

 Only this time we received not even a wit of sympathy, of empathy, of outcries against this brutality. No, what we got instead was anger that we had not only survived, but that we had fought back at immense hostile thousands, beat them back from whence they had crawled, like the insects and beasts who live only to wreak harm against others.

 Not sympathy but accusations, condemnations, approved masses of chanting haters, including some of our own people, calling for an end to Israel and all Jewish people round the world. We received the acquiescence of universities and governments round the world who had allowed themselves to be invaded by haters of the Jewish nation, whose Jewish students walked in fear once again. 

What we got instead was cries and screams of hate. Hate that the Jewish nation was able to survive this brutal surprise attack. Hate that the people of Israel, the Jewish people around the world, did not, in fact, give up, that they are even stronger than ever. 

We need now to understand the realities of life. Not to look for excuses. Not to explain why Jews are good people, good for the world. No, it is for them to figure out and adjust to our reality. It is us, the Jewish people to understand who we are, who we have always been and who we must always be.

 How did we suddenly find out how many within the Jewish people are haters of the own identity. Trying ever so hard to be the "good Jew”. The truth is that no matter how much energy you expend in denying yourself, in engaging in the fruitless and not necessary explanations of why Jews are good people. Why we are good for the world.  Why we have driven much that is good, proper, and moral for the world. To be considered a "good Jew", to deny all that makes you Jewish, to deny heritage and pride, to deny one's history, and in fact, the history of the world, is futile, endlessly demeaning, for to the Haters of the World, you will never be accepted. Never.  

As the world turns -

today 

tomorrow - 

know who you are -

be proud of that -

internalize all those values and pride and care not for the Haters.

DEFYING LOGIC

  Here essentially is the crux of the problem. We are trying to explain a terrible situation, essentially an issue arising out of emotion, by using logic to explain its presence and its seemingly eternal existence, immune to all attempts to explain and make disappear forever. Anyone who has been in a serious emotional situation knows that all the logic in the world will do nothing to heal those emotional storms within. Generally, in fact, it does the opposite, for one feels denied an outlet, even feeling dismissed and disrespected, belittled and treated as a tantrum throwing toddler. 

What does it have to do with the present blog and a recurring issue, that of JewHatred? Simple. I, too, as do many others, as has been done through the ages, tried to apply logic in opposing the virulent antisemitism of the millennia. It is a scourge of undying strength, seemingly impermeable to all attempts to deny it, to stunt it. to destroy it. 

 It is an emotion accepted by ranks of thousands in all manner of format of these societies, from democracy to authoritarian of varying types, by the 'intellectual' and the base alike. One will tend to use 'logic' and pseudo-science to justify it while others will simply buy into the emotions meshing with the 'logic' and in a matter of a short time, a nation can be riddled through, top to bottom, with this ancient, cursed hatred.

 This hatred is a liberating one, allowing the public    to feel justified and satisfied as they vent and indulge their most base instincts and encouraged to do so by the elite of their societies. It is a point which can be shared with all, even among enemies, and contributes to misshapen and ill-advised behavior, to regression to the worst of humanity. Most accursed of all, is the fact that it never seems to go away, merely, at the best of times, to retreat momentarily, biding its time until bursting forth at moments of political tension, economic pressures, and simple fear of not knowing what awaits humanity.

"We have one Jewish state, one teeny, tiny Jewish state. Why can't we have a Jewish state?"

So stated Haley Stevens, a candidate for office beaten by a thin edge by the supporters of an outspoken foe of the Jewish people. It is a question of course which could be addressed by logic, but for one problem. Logic has no place here. The answer would be, of course, it can be a Jewish state. In fact, it makes no sense that this state is opposed.  

No, it doesn't make any sense. In fact when the Jewish people at large, no matter where they are, no matter what century, are accused of being leeches upon the body of humanity, where is the logic? Throughout the ages humanity has only been benefited by the presence of the Jewish people and their contributions in all the fields of life. There is no field which has not been benefited by the contributions, the inventions and research of Jewish people. But that would be talking logically and truthfully, but truth has no place here. The ugliness of the miasma of Anti Semitism, bitter, vile, toxic   JewHatred apparently outweighs all else.

Jews in fact, are deemed as others, outside of the human race. Hence, it is that the Jewish people are held to an impossible double standard at the same time that they are deemed dregs of humanity, if even that. Logic is totally alien to this kind of thinking. In fact, if one were to pay attention to the ongoing political adventures within Israel, one would very quickly realize this is a state afflicted by the same flaws of all humanity. 

In fact, most politicians around the world seek the same. Theye are almost interchangeable. Longevity of office is crucial. They seek all they feel is good for them, and their constituents ae abandoned. Truth too often is brushed under a carpet already bumpy with prior lies and truths avoided. And when, as always, the truth will out, there are desperate attempts to shift the blame onto others, to deny their own responsibility and guilt. 

And the people of the state, of any of the nations, simply wishing to live in peace, to raise their families are set by the wayside. These ugly circumstances bewilder humanity, and in their uncertainty and fear of the unknown, they resort to primitive notions and emotions, and behavior and here we are again.   

As a suggestion to try to understand all this hatred I suggest you read two books, both written by Dara Horn. The titles might shock you, but trust me, these titles are born up by the contents of these two books. One is People Love Dead Jews and the other is The Final Solution To The Jewish Question - A Love Story For the Living.

Yesterday Today Tomorrow

Perhaps all that we can do is to simply wait for someone to hit humanity over the head and bring some sense and logic into this troubled world of ours.

If ever!     

WIN UNTIL YOU LOSE

   We all hope, don't we to find a winning streak and remain with that winning streak for as long as possible, perhaps forever. Fortunately, or unfortunately, depending upon the situation, that doesn't happen too often. Suddenly one who was riding high can find himself being crushed in a bad turn of events. On the other hand, one who was at the bottom of the heap can suddenly find a place reserved for him at the top of the heap. 

Is it the luck of the draw, or a sudden twist of fate, lucky maneuvering, or the errors of others opening up a rung on that very crowded ladder. Whatever it is, that lucky streak often turns into an unexpected curse, incites negative emotions and the whole shootin' shebang comes down with a crash. Actually, believe it or not, when I see some of the lucky streaks that some of the worst people of the world attain I kind of give a little smirk when it all falls to dust. 

It often takes quite some time for them to realize the new state in which they find themselves. They don't understand it for heretofore whenever they spoke people jumped, and whenever they demanded, people gave. Now there is total confusion within their minds, for what happened? It is definitely refreshing when those who appear to be gliding along the water are actually paddling furiously beneath trying to keep their place but never succeeding in the long run. 

It is when people realize the words of nonsense and hate that spew forth from the so called Lucky Ducks are not the words from Sinai. Perhaps the words are more likely to emerge from the clown or the devil. Take a look around at many of the leaders of the world today. so many are past their sell by date and though they might have done wonderful things in early years, they have lost it, find themselves confused and panicking trying to find a way back, only to find the road impassable.  

All this change of fortunes is frightening, but what I find even more unsettling is when one person for whatever sickness lies in the brain or dangerous faulty thinking, is willing to write oneself and all others in the same boat, just off, desiring only to know they are dying for mankind who will be all the better for that and even better, top of the line, take the offending people along with you.  

But the worst offender of this nonsense, the one who shouts it from the highest hills, is a dangerously deluded idiot who has turned her back on her own people, on our own self. How? By declaring that Jewish existence conflicts with human survival. This is the Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel who made this outrageous statement at a meeting of Michigan Jewish Democrats and that the best way for them to continue to exist is not to exist, but to allow the rest of the world to exist by their absence. I can't understand this. Does she think that by negating herself and dragging a whole slew of her people along with her that somebody will give her a medal Personally, they won't give a S***!       

  This woman indeed should prove to be a role model for what she believes, and find the nearest cliff and throw herself off. Self-hating Jews thinking they can remove themselves from the people is not a new phenomenon. It generally arises out of pressure and a fear and greatly twisted, misconceived ideas. People of any kind who cannot respect their own traditions who cannot heed their heritage and respect the heritage of others will forever be blind to the goodness that can be found within humans but so often is interred by the words of fools and haters. People who cannot respect their own heritage, their own tradition who cannot celebrate the contributions of their own people to the rest of the world, are useless, even harmful and, by the bye, so many inventions, medicines research, art benefiting the world have arisen from Jewish minds.

 So, this woman has evidently gone to the point where she can't stand herself anymore. deems herself unworthy. Let her take her own sick thoughts and talk to a mirror. No one else needs to hear her words. There is enough hate in this world, and we certainly do not need to add to it.    

Better yet we look to Yesterday to Today and Tomorrow and pick and choose the best for us which avoids victimizing others. 

Those who cannot deal with those thoughts Take a long walk off a short pier. I am so tired of you.
