No, not the religious figures of said names, but the pair of poor mishaps with zero common sense who engage in a repetitive going nowhere cycle. It is a perpetual self-renewing one of robbing one to pay the other. It matters not if one is Paul or Peter, for the entire economy, private or public is doomed to failure from the get-go. It generates nothing positive, adds nothing to the economy, and simply perpetuates a hopeless situation. There is a lack of ideas as to how to move forward, how to create a sure and certain economic machine beneficial to society in general, rather than to a few privileged characters. Unfortunately, this is the present ugly picture of our economy today, here in the USA and around the world.
Moreover, instead of resorting to tried and true. guaranteed failures and negative methodology, we must turn away from those guaranteed routes to failure. They didn't work before and there is no reason to think that they will work now. Tariffs and trade wars are anti-economic expansion. They dry up creative energies so necessary to keep an economy thriving. Generally, it is conducive to growth only among the ranks of smugglers and those who try to catch them.
The people who need those products, who need components to make products, suffice it to say that they are going nowhere other than down and round and round in a hopeless situation. Time to update the methodology of economic life and productivity. Time to think out of the box, to be bold and thoughtful and wise, all at the same time. Create a regenerating energetic economy.
I am not an economist, nor have I ever claimed to be one. However, as a student of history, as anyone who has a working brain, can figure out for themselves, time to discard old outdated proven failures of faulty methodology. Its only products are increased useless going nowhere competition leading to a rabid nationalism of poisonous effects, a populism doomed to repetitive failure and inevitably, the havoc of war and then - reset, repeat, ad infinitum.
This is where we are today. A situation exacerbated by the demented thinking and crazed illegal Executive Orders of that man in the White House, in the Oval Office. All compounded by the toxic Musk and his MuskRats as they tear our ties to reality, weaken the very fiber of our souls and that of our nation, and the temperature of this country rises.
Simply look around. See the increased hostility and uncertainty. See the growing rejection of the consequences of that man and his acolytes, his enablers. Demonstrations increasing in numbers and participants. Those who once voted for this man, who fell under the perverted spell he cast over the nation, a nation in crisis, suddenly find themselves the victims rather than the beneficiaries. Their health care is compromised. Food access limited and costly, and their children go hungry to bed. The education system breaks down and we grow a generation illiterate and unprepared for the challenges of a world in peril. Hopelessness, despair, last stand nothing to lose attitudes permeate the nation, seep into the world. Protectionism, isolationism, losing games, grow apace. And here we are, inevitably, back to the future and the past.
Suddenly, actually not so suddenly, for the truth was always there, but unseen by too many, we find ourselves in a world gone nuts. It is not a movie where we can stop the world so we can get off. It is our world and our responsibility, our desperate need to fix the damn thing. At present we are under the rule, yes, a despotic rule of a self-appointed unelected King who has seized the crown where none was ever there. A man bloated with self-importance, a narcissist of incalculable measure, and paired with that crazed man, Trump, who has also taken upon his head a crown where none ever existed, and none was offered.
We are living a nightmare turned daymare at present. Knowing, even participating in the trashing of this nation and its heritage. We are spurning the progress made and losing the impetus and the courage, the energy, so necessary for a future imbued with hope and new ideas, purged of bias and hate. The opportunity to turn this situation around is shrinking.
The more we allow the dismantling of our three-branch government, the more we stand silent acquiescing in the turning back of the clock, the canceling of any and all progress made, the denying of rights to all, the invasion of privacy we are now undergoing, the more the government, rather than shrinking, will grow tenfold, if not more. It will pry into our most private spheres of life. Back again into our bedrooms, the bedrooms of our children. Back into our houses of worship, our religions and beliefs. Our kitchens, our schools. How we dress and what we eat. Every molecule of every aspect of life, even into the very thought processes within our minds. And the cancelation of our souls.
We must remember that anything this man and his henchman do, or promise is on a rather shaky platform with no guarantees. The only guarantee is that of uncertainty. and worsening situations for the nation. All are subject to the wheels of that homicidal bus and the twisted thinking and ambitions of blackened souls and crooked minds.
We had better understand the importance, the urgency of taking the proper steps. While we cannot change the past, we can better improve our understanding of it and take its lessons to heart. We can use that knowledge to improve our todays so needy of change for sure.
