Between ever constant in your face news broadcasts and TV crawl, and along with the conversations with friends and colleagues, with neighbors - and strangers as well- one is never at a loss for information re this troubled world forever in turmoil. Always more to add to the mix so that the ever-constant meetings often cause an overload, a Tilt in the brain and the thoughts and the words refuse to come together. Thoughts do not adhere to the topic, and the words do not form proper and rational sentences and paragraphs.
The cherry on top is the wonderful guests for the weekend - a freshly married pair of grandchildren who need attention and pampering, and hence we arrive at yet another late posting to the blog. At least I do not get graded on this with tardiness resulting in failure. Please forgive me and on I go with my Venting II, and try to do my very best, despite all the pitfalls and the strong emotions re the topics of venting - and please note that does not include my adorable set of newlyweds.
That man never fails to disappoint me in my expectations of his follies and in the perils posed by him for us. Day after day, hour by hour, even second by second. His thoughts are constantly awhirl and a twirl, never consistent and highly perfused with self-aggrandizement and self-pride, rants and rages, constant words of insult and disrespect, with no one immune or exempt, not even family of the first degree.
However, I believe even more dangerous to the entire world, as too many buy into his words, are the words which spew out of his mouth in a constant flow of boasts and false promises, empty threats, ad quite false in duration. Depending on all that verbal tripe and building, with hope, with surety and certainty that these plans will come to fruition in a positive manner, in as simple and cooperative a project as possible, will prove to be a sad, even terrible outcome of it all.
How many words of promises and threats have we heard re Gaza, and their horrifying fate if they failed to obey his deadlines? How many times has he put forth all kinds and levels of terrifying fates to the terrorists, to Hamas, to Islamic Jihad, to all those who live to destroy Israel and all Jews, for that matter, if they refuse to obey and meet his deadlines? They had to disarm, within the time allotted and if not, the ceasefire would be null and void and Israel would be free, encouraged even, to go in and finish them off. All the hostages, dead and alive were to be returned with the same threat hanging over them, but Ran Gvili is still there, his family, his friends, the entire nation waiting to give him the honorable burial he deserves. Long time past due and still, Hamas and Islamic Jihad attack, raid, shoot rockets, and kill.
Same empty threats; same meaningless promises.
What about the ominous words he has spoken to Iran, to bring down the wrath of ultimate disaster, of terrible fates and then, today, the next day, it is nope, as he maintains that Iran has stopped killing the protesters, they said so and he behaves as if it is the truth rather than an outright lie and an extension of time available to kill, for after all, they had 'only' killed 800!
Blatant lies; Continuing Horror.
Same empty threats; same empty promises.
However. Our oh, so, dear, President, our most unequipped for the job president, is an equal abuser. He is also endangering the very country he is supposed to protect. He has already negated themes of our existence, of our foundation. He has assumed powers that do not belong to him; Power that places our democracy in grave danger, condones the murder of citizens slaughtered by brutal ICE agents, beasts in training for the prison and concentration camps of an inevitable future unless we stand strong against his diabolic plans and goals, building upon what is already here.
Think not that this will not happen - it is already with us. Based on vicious lies and barbaric temperament, ego outsized beyond belief and lies egregiously outrageous and initiative of great harm, he is now, in real bloody life, at this moment, waging war against our own citizens. 3000 brutal ICE agents, masked, armed as if they were SWAT or DELTA force, jammed into Minneapolis, to hurt and harm, even killing an innocent woman, blaming her for her own death. But the truth is there, out front, up close and center, as he has threatened to bring in more, to punish them, to invoke a law which is to be invoked only in times of great crisis and war but not a crisis of Trump's own making and incitement.
His behavior embarrasses us before the world. He not only demolishes who we are - spiritually, emotionally, politically, inviting great, divisive chasms to form between the citizens of America, even as he pushes this nation to a Civil War. He turns on our allies, placates truly nasty people, and threatens numerous nations re their land and their integrity as independent entities. And there will be much more of this ugliness.
He demolishes all he touches. Our beautiful existential sacred and treasured well balanced White House now has one wing of it gone, taken down without permission of those he should have asked, had to have asked. Now it is a messy construction zone, food for his overblown ego as he solicits bribes and the nation's money. The other wing, which was to mirror it in balance, now has him walking around on the roof thinking he should add another floor on there.
His first ugly business that he did with our valued treasured areas was when he paved over the beautiful Rose Garden that Jacqueline Kennedy had put in, that we have kept as a memorial to her and to her assassinated husband., a true hero. He paved it over and made it into another cheap looking umbrellaed patio, a mirror of the same thing in Mar a Lago, his palace.
He has called upon the army to parade for him, to celebrate his birthday, to waste millions upon millions of money to do this - for his conceit, and wastes the taxpayers hard earned money, money not earned through cheating. From taxpayers who know and practice proper moral stance. People who respect others, as fellow humans.
He has foisted upon us the incompetent, insufficient endangering people to head departments within this government. And we are paying the price for it. He has weaponized the departments of government to go after all those who disagree with him and we are losing the battle in this particular war, and I hope we do not lose the battle nor the war.
He has stripped much of America's dignity with his conceited arrogant behavior. He has condoned murder of our own citizens and of migrants, legal and illegal, naturalized and not, lies about them, even though for the most part, they have built lives. They have obeyed the laws. They have built businesses. They are critical in our agriculture. They are critical in construction And this man sends people out to murder them, separates families, even to kill for they have died within our system as we held them prisoner. He has separated children from parents, lost some of them permanently, it seems. And he has during the time that he is in office, which is not done, he has stripped the beauty of the John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts as he stuck his name on it, demeaned it with his choices, caused the opera and famous orchestras and people of the arts to cancel their dates there. He has named an institute the Trump Institute of Peace. What peace? He makes believe eight wars were ended, by him- that he didn't. But for that, he wants the Nobel Prize. and has practically blackmailed the Nobel Prize winner for Peace to give to him. He has named a class of warships called the Trump Class. He has Trump Gold Card He has Trump poor taste gilt all over the White House. Trump Rx. A proposed Trump coin. A Trump Passport for beautiful national parks.
No, this man has no right or place or ability or humanity to hold the Office of President of the United States America. Not at all.
Not yesterday.
Not today.
Not tomorrow.
And we put him in that place.
For shame.
We have the legal right and obligation to fix our wounds and shortcomings.
We owe a debt to those who defended and built our nation.
We owe it to ourselves.
And we certainly owe it to our descendants.
