ALL IS WELL;WE ARE SAVED! NEW ACCOUNTING FROM LANNY HOWE

     Well, residents of Century Village, we are saved! No more big catch up fees for UCO, no big deal if we just have to pay somewhat more than $2 to make up the shortfall - that is, of course, before new fees and additional fees for increased contract costs are added in, but no matter, Lanny Howe, that versatile resident who functions quite well as a David Israel shill, is back. Take comfort in that.
     And if you believed all that, well, accept my sympathies. Suddenly, it seems, Lanny has become an expert in delving into $8 million dollar budgets and knows how to make up a shortfall of $1.2 million dollars. They did not like to hear the bad news from our previous Treasurer and now they do not like to hear the bad news from their own Treasurer, Howie O'Brien, who by the way, appears to be a sincere man who states the facts as they are, without passion or blame. Just the facts, ma'am, and that is fine by me. He sincerely wants to try to find a way to cut the costs and the increased fees.
     But here comes Lanny who engages in the David Israel and Ed Black game of playing around with numbers and facts and that is how we have reached this shortfall. They lied and lied and lied and here it all is. It is a wonder that there are not several extremely long noses to be seen in the UCO office! The numbers are as they are, Lanny, and fiddling around with them does not change the shortfall or the monies needed to make it up. One cannot go from $17 per month initial increase down to $2+ increase per month and expect that people will swallow this, well, unless they are the mothball fleet we have here who seem to neither hear nor care about our financial and management disasters. Do they think they are immune and exempt? I really don't know, for their behavior is unfathomable and they have their share of the blame in allowing us to reach this point.
     Please, Lanny, go back on your summer travels, write for The Reporter since they seem to have become a rag of a paper whose sole purpose is to front for David Israel and they are sorely short of material, and leave the numbers to the qualified people. Enough of the chicanery. Enough of the lies, no matter whose mouth utters them. Enough with the stupidity and incompetence that led us here. Enough. It is sickening already, seeing the obvious contempt you have for the residents of this Village as all of you over there in Davidisraelland continue with your lies and drivel. Just shut it already. Go read a book. Go watch TV. I can recommend good shows and some great books.
