And so it begins. Port installed, chemo to begin and an entire army of professionals, friends, families, and caring strangers, all armed in heart, soul, and skill to bring this beloved, treasure of a boy back home. As good as new - no, better than new. Stronger, braver, more confident, with a deeper faith and trust in the power of goodness and prayer. The prayers of literally hundreds, if not thousands, already invested in Yitzy's to be triumphant war with cancer. The combined power of all those prayers and Psalms, recited 24/7 amounts to a huge ball of the power of faith in the eventual victorious combat with cancer, whatever it throws at us.
Yitzy has a great deal to offer this world, a bright future ahead of him, a golden boy who will become a golden man. He is that special, a boy on the verge of manhood, a tough hand dealt to him. Nevertheless, it will be a positive outcome. Those damned cells cannot possibly withstand all the anger, the intent to disappear it all.
The day after the day after will surely transition into the week after the week, the month after the month, the year after the year, until the day after the day after we have been told of a complete cure.
