OVER THESE I CRY

One of the four matriarchs of Judaism, Rachel,

buried alongside the road past Bethlehem, she watches and cries at the sight of her children, the people of Israel, walk past on their way to an exile of long duration. She cries, tears run down her face, crying for her children, (Jeremiah, 31:15) for they have a hard time ahead, death an unwelcome guest who comes around too often. Consolation is impossible for her children are missing. G-d then promises that she will be rewarded and consoled as she will witness the return of her children to their homeland once again.

What was supposed to be a final return has been challenged many, many times, by vicious animals posing as humans, by monsters who think nothing of capturing noncombatants, taking them hostage, killing them savagely, even as they cry crocodile tears to the world claiming they are the victims. Claiming the title of militants though their true name is TERRORIST.

Two days ago, early Saturday morning, a holy day, doubled as it was also the end of Sukkot and a celebration of the Torah, Israel was brutally attacked, by a large force of terrorists, trained and supplied by Iran, with members of the murderous Iranian Republic Guards, broke into Israel via seven points. Whereupon they proceeded to invade 22 small towns and villages and slaughter all they came across, invaded homes and slaughtered the occupants, parent  in front of child, child before the horrified eyes of parents, raping, killing, brutal, forcing disabled, elderly, men, women, children, babies, naked, barefoot, bloody, to walk in captivity, to be paraded in front of not so innocent as claimed Gazans who cheered wildly, and engaged gleefully in the desecration of the dead, dragged along, spat upon, kicked. Those left behind were slaughtered, as bunnies in a pen.  Young men and women coming from a party were slaughtered, by the hundreds, or taken captive for a fate beyond contemplation or understanding.

The world cannot understand the truth or willfully denies it, I think the latter. After all, it is merely the Jews again, always facing a pogrom, even within their own land, longed for and denied for millennia.  Apparently deemed by the world at large as not deserving of any peace, of being a nation among nations, for its people to live in peace.

Attacked time after time, always called upon to
"exercise restraint" which left the brutalizers in a good place for their next bloody incursion. Resulting in the present situation, Israel literally fighting for her life, for the lives of the seven million Jews of the nation, of the thousands of visitors there at holiday time, including the thousands of Christians there for a simultaneous yearly celebration in Jerusalem. Not to omit the fact that so many Israelis are dual citizens. Where is the   concern, the defense, the care for the citizens of these nations? I hear nothing.  Only a thunderous silence.

My daughter, my son in law, three children, and a new wife, my sister and husband, my cousins, so many, many of them, nieces and nephews, my friends, are there, in danger, no way out, the airport   rocketed, airlines other than ElAl refusing to fly.

Where is my country, their country to rescue them, to fight the terrorists alongside the embattled Israelis? The 1,000 killed is equivalent to 50,000 killed in America. And more to come. Much more, perhaps all. Where is the world? Where?

Always missing when it comes to the Jews

If we have to admit alone, together with only ourselves and perhaps some righteous people who join the battle, so be it.

Rachel has cried many times, and will do so again, but at the end -we will be there, in our ancient home, in OUR land.

The togetherness we need, that should be there in any right thinking nation, is not there. However, we Jews have our own togetherness, and despite arguments between us, weak and petty, or strong and vital, we are all Amcha - your nation.  It identified us in the forests of Europe as we struggled to survive. It identifies us all over the world, one of the tribe.

We will have the togetherness we need, always have and when push comes to shove, we will always have it.

We are together for the good an the bad.

We worship and trust in the same Lord.

He made us a promise and it will be kept.

Together, only together.

All the righteous, together.

The truth seekers - together.

Let us all remember that, live that, defeat our enemies, and shine the light of truth upon all.

AM YISROEL CHAI!

THE NATION OF ISRAEL LIVES!
