Three AM could be a great time to be returning from a great night, a wedding, a celebration of sort, but it is also the time when dictators know is great for arresting people, for surprising them, finding them at their weakest. It is also a time when one finally gives up on the tossing and turning and any more sleep for the night.
So 3 AM has become a euphemism for bad times. "In a real dark night of the soul, it is always three o'clock in the morning. (" F. Scott Fitzgerald)
We have reached our 3 AM in the morning and it is not a good thing. There is no celebration here, not for opponents of David Israel nor opponents of Donald Trump.
Three o'clock in the morning in CV means that we have put ourselves on the very sharp point of a knife with no relief in sight. We are going to owe millions upon millions to Atlantic, a company with a proven bad track record. We have allowed ourselves to be lulled by their claims and promises with no proof of its eventual truth, and indeed can find only bad about it. Even Consumer Reports dislikes it intensely - and no, David, they are not after you nor do they know me except as a subscriber! Sorry, but Atlantic is just a bad deal for us - and it all rests upon your shoulders.
It is 3 AM when we allow rules to be set in motion that will remove any and all ability of the residents and delegates to show dislike or opposition to the deeds and plans of UCO as defined by David Israel. It will negate any voice crying in the wilderness and in any case, it has already left us there as the Millennium Agreement needs to be prepared for but naught has been done because David is too damn busy with his other plans. And so we in the Village rot and our future rots with it.
But why expect any different when we allow him to get his way and when we have the awful 'role model' of Donald Trump - senior and junior! -right in front of our eyes. 24/7 we are bludgeoned with more information that turns our stomach. 24/7 we see a man who still cannot control his baser instincts and goes sexual mode again telling both Macron's wife and Macron that she is in good physical shape. Yecch to the nth degree. This is not something one says to the wife of another leader of the world nor indeed to anyone. It is the remark of a three year old who has no brakes but this man is 71.But then again, his idea of age and maturity and responsibility is warped as can be seen by his attempt to defend junior as a good kid. A good kid???? He is 39 years old. A kid no more. Indeed!
We have the constant drip drip all day long as more information comes out concerning the meeting with the Russians. As previously stated, the truth comes out - always - and when a lie is told one only enmeshes oneself in a morass of more lies and embarrassments. Way back in June they already knew that there would be trouble about this and paid $50,000 to the defense lawyer they are using. When one knows that he/she is guilty, one knows - call in the lawyer!! Even before it goes public and viral.
His poll numbers are the worst ever, 36% approval and 58% total disapproval with others feeling strong disapproval and distrust in Trump. The administration and in fact, the entire country is reeling. Our system, how to deal with a liar as president, with a businessman who has deleted all morals, all ethics, and plans on using this office as a means of furthering his business deals - our system is misfiring. And he knows it and this can be seen in the doubling and more of lawyer costs to his campaign fund.
Meanwhile, Brian Sandoval, a good man who feels for the people who would be screwed by the so called health plan of the Republicans is being pressured to change his opinion and yet he remains sure and certain, knowing there is a difference between true healthcare and insurance and a sad and indeed sadistic substitute which will cover nothing - perhaps a toothbrush and a bandaid. He states “A lot of people’s lives and health and health care and quality of life is in the balance. I’m a former judge. I take in all the information, and then I make a decision, and that’s what I’m doing now." Let us hope he remains firm.
At least there was a decent statement out of the White House condemning the horrific attack on Temple Mount that killed two policemen, two Druze who served proudly in the Israeli force, but this is not enough to cover or paper over all his other misdeeds.
And in the meanwhile, we are being isolated ever more from the rest of the world as they proceed with the plans for saving the world from ourselves, building new trading treaties that will leave America out in the cold. America First means America alone. Make America Great Again is the kind of false and diametrically opposed statement that can be found within 1984 and the philosophy and actions of the Party in Oceania.
Without all of us paying close attention to what is happening, without us expressing our complete disgust and opposition, here in CV and in the country, then we will live in a world where dictators thrive, where rights are stripped from people, where governments take rather than give, when they harm, rather than protect. That is not the world I want , not for me nor for my kids and grandkids, even though the Trump administration and his new Supreme Court think grandparents do not matter!!! The time is ready for dawn rather than 3 AM. Join in the fight.

AND A CHILD SHALL LEAD THEM
A child, a symbol of innocence, of the future, of hope as a leader of the world. We forget that children are also closer to emotions and the expressing of them. They will go up to anyone and ask a personal question, not so much to be nosy as to gain information. They can be cruel to others, bully others, even hurt others. They can be twisted into different directions, many not so good. They also lack a certain level of ability to weigh things carefully with a look towards the long run, the future. They can be fickle. And yet, children are the joy of life to most people, can give unconditional love, and are ready to learn and become good adults. They have the enthusiasm we need to change the world and get it back off the ledge. But......
When a child is found to be in a man's body, that is not so good. That is the child who never grew up, who wants with a child's level of demand, with a child's eye view of the world - the egotistical self centered world - and who has never truly learned the art of negotiation with other grownups in a respectful atmosphere, has never truly developed a vocabulary of an adult and seems to be stuck on the use of a limited one, unable to find truly descriptive adjectives. Hence the constant use of very and interesting or tremendous, etc. Some of these words were banned in my classroom as they were overused, trite and did not truly convey meaning and detail.
But today we have many children who are in places of responsibility, who see the world from within their own orbs and can see no other opinions as valid or even legitimate. Our Village is ruled - and yes, I purposely use that word - by one and his minions who are stuck in childhood with the bullying techniques, the 'I'll getcha' behavior', the inability to truly weigh questions and decisions from other viewpoint, from long term viewpoints. It is an administration devoured by negative attitudes and emotions and is grievously harmful to the Village. It is infected with the 'secret' club meetings and decisions and the constant theme of getting one over on the opposition, even is that means bad contracts for the Village, or even contracts that are signed after voting and after they have been secretly altered.
To be led by a child in a grown up body is dangerous. Look around the world and see the dictators growing apace. Their demands are all serious in their consequences, but are also childish in derivation. It is all mine, all the time and if you do not like it, then I will get you gone, out of the game, except that this is not a game of childish results, but one of life altering consequences.
No one leader is more childish, dangerously childish, than Donald Trump. He has his own gang, his own club, with the top recruits being his family members of the next generation, raw and untrained, unable to deal with adult issues. So Ivanka sits in her daddy's chair at a meeting like the four year old sits in his mommy's chair, at her desk, on a visit to work. His sons bring 'prizes' or try to bring prizes home in order to win prizes and love. And the rest of his crew follow along, doing the wrong thing, run around in circles because there is no adult amongst them, or they have sidelined the one or two adults nearby. And what does one do with a supposed President who comments on the physical appearance of the wife of another leader, on camera, and makes sure to repeat it to the husband, Macron!!!She took a step back, holding on to the arm of Melania. Poor Melania!!!
And, as is usual, when children get in over their heads, it is truly a bad scene. Bad things happen - bigly bad, so sad, tremendously bad. They deal with the wrong people and even if by accident, the possibility of red lines, their crossing, perilous consequences are all there. Hence we have the mess with Russian interference and Trump seemingly thinking that asking, "Were you involved with the meddling in the election? or, as he says, in a totally different way, "Were you involved with the meddling?" and if you see the difference, please email!! - this was enough to accept a "No. I was not."???
We get smelly atmospheres and questionable behavior. We get a "suicide" of a major participant in the soliciting of Russian information. We get too many stories, for children think that words are magical and if we deny some words, then the new words are the be all and end all and the solution to the matter. But that is not so.
Children have no place in government. Yes, okay, in Student Council with adult supervision and guidance, but not in political entities of world wide consequence. Children who never grew up do not have a place either. They are way too dangerous for the fate of countries and indeed the world to be placed within their hands and minds. And Lord, even that smirk of Trump's belongs on a maliciously victorious child of the bully category.
Time to retire the children and put some adults in place. Time for DeVos to learn that no, girls do not generally make up stories of rape and assault, and no, claiming they were drunk and the girl changed her mind later on - nope, does not fly, especially when there are drugs and multiple assailants! Not even a grizzly bear in sight. Time for the other children to learn how to play nicely, to talk as adults, to compromise, rather than make threatening demands. Time for the bully in chief to go - here in the Village and out there in DC and further out there in the world.

A TREASONOUS PRESIDENT?
The unthinkable has happened. The President of the United States can seriously be linked to collusion with the enemy or at the very least knowing that it was happening or had happened and did nothing, NOTHING, about it except to boast that he would have something very important to say about Hillary. That never happened because there was nothing to be given about Hillary from the Russians, but the point is that this whole thing stinks to the high heavens.
To try to say that Junior was transparent is to tell a lie as he knew the NY Times was going to publish and they gave him a warning of a few minutes prior to publication, and he spilled it all. Then his father again blames it on the Fake media who tell lies and have questionable sources. What the hell is he talking about when it comes from his own son?
Furthermore, we have Eric screaming at people that he is tired of having his family attacked and they are a close family and will protect each other. I have been saying this for a long time. This family is one unit and what one does, the others know, ergo.....Trump Senior knew exactly what was going on. The question is how to proceed. Two Democratic Representatives have filed articles of impeachment. The Cabinet have to pick their pants up and do the right thing. The people responsible for our government now have to face the fact that this ethical morass, these nefarious actions, the conflicts of interest must all stop. Our country and our world is at stake. We have to decide that we do not want a royal family, George Washington nixed that idea and certainly even Melania is getting involved and she is not happy about it. The Trump family has no business mixing in.
Now Trump states that oh Putin really wanted Clinton is office. Gimme a break. Enough of this nonsense and time for all to wake up. This man is so guilty of moral turpitude and deep stupidity if nothing else. His delight in Air Force One, in pushing to the head of a line, getting and returning salutes, are all sops to his ego but his ego is not good for us. He does not like it when public eyes are on his children but then why did he bring them into the fray? And what is with this ridiculous show and tell from Conway who decided to use rhyme and alliteration to explain away Junior's misdeeds? Unreal!!
When ego gets in the way, the person must be relieved of duty and responsibility and unfortunately we have a similar situation here in the Village. David Israel has a huge ego and cannot deal with anyone who tries to puncture that ego, not by direct action, but simply by showing that he has done harm to the Village in both the past and the present and will continue to do so in the future - if we allow him to get away with it.
So enough with egos. Enough with incompetence. Enough with crooked deals (federally speaking). Enough with the wrong people in charge and time to return to public servants, not public families in charge and no cabals to rule whatever world in which they exist. Time is a fleeting. Hurry on to the right train.
Treason. On purpose or by accident. Ethics violations. Oppression of opponents. Violations of the Constitution and by laws. Secret meetings and appointments. How much more are we to take - in either venue. Ask yourself that question and think deeply before answering. At least we do not have hate meetings and associations here in the Village but Jeff Sessions managed to find the time to speak at a closed door meeting at one of the biggest and most bigoted anti LGBT organizations, Alliance Defending Freedom. This is the Attorney general of the United States? This is who speaks for me? I do not think so!! Here in the Village or out there in the country - we need to stand up and speak up for ourselves.

AW, C'MON!! ARE YOU KIDDING?
If someone wrote a book about the Trump family and the Trump Presidency and wrote all about the adventure, or misadventure such as answering an enemy's email about an opponent, responding almost with a yippee!, and then telling everyone all about it with different versions, the book would be laughed out of the stores!!! Especially when the sons of the family try to say that their father knew nothing of it. Really!! These sons do not take a pass at the bathroom without a hall pass from their father!
So first Eric Trump tells all and then he gets snarky, looking all the time like the weasel he is. Then Junior gets in on this with his own versions and all the while these two are damning themselves and their father the more they open their stupid mouths. And the tweets in response to their behavior just keep up the yuks, laughing at their stupidity. And again, if they dared to do this without his permission and even brought in the great be all and end all, Jared Kushner, then they need to be tied down and gagged before they cause more harm and even so, their father comes off looking like either a fool or a criminal - either he knew and acceded to this action or once again his campaign crew kept him in the dark for the dope he is. Either choice is not very good.
Even Russia is getting into the thick of it and the more they deny and explain the more guilty they look and sound - right along with their Trump partners. You can't make this up!! The emails were explicit and these boys had better get their lawyers lined up. Well, at least the Donald is telling all who would listen that his junior is a good boy, "a high quality person". Huh!! Wonder what a low quality person is to him. Aha!! Sees that in the mirror when he takes his umpteen looks to admire himself. I am truly sorry, but I cannot even respect him for the office he holds. He is that bad, that stupid, that harmful to us. He has made a mockery of his office in front of the entire world.
The White House is in an uproar with senior aides looking suspiciously at each other, wondering who I next to go, with Priebus looking pretty iffy. Junior says "This [was] pre-Russia fever. This [was] pre-Russia mania," Trump Jr. told Fox News" and truly what does that mean. He calls it a waste of twenty minutes and what does that mean? If he had gotten some info it would not have been a waste? Does he and his family and the country not realize that this was collusion with the enemy with the aim or goal of doing harm to an American citizen?!The Russians he spoke with had ties to spies and what the hell were they all thinking!!
Meanwhile, back at the ranch we have an interesting situation. Twitter users blocked by Trump from his twitter site are suing him. “The @realDonaldTrump account is a kind of digital town hall in which the president and his aides use the tweet function to communicate news and information to the public, and members of the public use the reply function to respond to the president and his aides and exchange views with one another,” the lawsuit said.
"By blocking people from reading his tweets, or from viewing and replying to message chains based on them, Mr. Trump is violating their First Amendment rights because they expressed views he did not like, the lawsuit argued.
It offered several theories to back that notion. They included arguments that Mr. Trump was imposing an unconstitutional restriction on the plaintiffs’ ability to participate in a designated public forum, get access to statements the government had otherwise made available to the public and petition the government for “redress of grievances."
And now think forward to another similar situation. Who else do we know who runs a public site, encourages people to read it, solicits people by sending out email blasts but then blocks some people from responding to his various comments and spurious statements Oh yes, you got it right!
Why it is our own David Israel with his Century Village blog, OUR Village - whose? OUR? Well, blow we down since I am blocked along with other worthy people. So.....should we sue? Hey, I am up for it. Same thing. He is a public figure, a public official, uses UCO machines to post his blogs, to tape and video, to put it on line - but then blocks access to comment. Hmmmm - sounds familiar. Thinks about it. Could be interesting!
Another similarity? Well, Trump uses people with ties to the very things he wishes to regulate or deregulate as in the appointees, 28 of whom have conflicts of interest. He uses the head of private contracting companies for arms and fighting men to check how to limit the number of soldiers on the ground. Well, guess they have an idea - hire them!!! Either we are stupid or deaf and dumb that we allow this to continue. This man is totally and completely a massive ball of conflict of interests ethics violations, and a could care less attitude towards it all as long as he gets his way and makes some money. Wow!!! Who else do we know who always wants his way and who hires strange companies for unnecessary contracts? Think about it.

THE THUNDER OF SILENCE OR THE SILENCE BEHIND THE THUNDER

I just came across that quote in the introduction to a book and thought how well it referred to the times and deeds of today. In both administrations that I have recourse to write about, there is often a thunderous silence that accompanies deeds that take place within that very same entity. I do not understand why that is so, for the very silence tells us that something is up and it is invariably found out and then we have true thunder as people speak up. And then we have the opposite, the silence that says that there are no positive and good answers to explain the previous behavior. I just came across that quote in the introduction to a book and thought how well it referred to the times and deeds of today. Now we have his own Jr. incriminating himself with a statement of a meeting with a Russian woman with connections to the Kremlin promising to give over information damaging to Hillary Clinton. Really? To our enemies? With our enemy? Again, there is the attempt to whitewash Donald Sr. but again, either this guy knew what was going on and approved it all and that is so very possible, or he is the biggest fool and ignorant and oblivious person ever G-d has wrought upon this earth - and worthy of contemptible treatment, the same kind of treatment and attitude given towards him by his own people.
We get reports about his 2 1/2 hour meeting with Putin and the stories vary. We have three versions- the Russians, Trump's and Tillerson's. Evidently there was some kind of bromance going on there but our country is sure not feeling the love!! Trump did not push Putin on the interference at all and simply accepted a no for an answer and moved on to trying to collude - and yes, that is the proper term - with Russia on a Cyber Security unit!! That is not only inviting the fox into the henhouse, but in addition, serving up the hens on platters, along with all condiments!! Trump brags about this and when his fellow Republicans laugh at this, shower him with scorn, i.e. "It's not the dumbest idea I have ever heard but it's pretty close," Senator Lindsey Graham. And other similar comments and evaluations follow. Even this dead between his ears man hears this and now states, "The fact that President Putin and I discussed a Cyber Security unit doesn't mean I think it can happen. It can't," Trump said on Twitter.
Europe has left us and Uhlmann states, "We learned that Donald Trump has pressed fast forward o the decline of the United States as a global leader. He managed to isolate his nation, to confuse and alienate his allies and to diminish America."
So this man whom I have long stated having little to no talent or interest or capability or knowledge to run this country, to interface with the world, is increasingly being called out more and more along the same lines by world figures. And yes, some people will bring up that when he sticks to the scripts of his speeches he can actually sound semi intelligent, but the problem is that this is not the Trump we have in reality. He then goes off script with his mouth and his tweets, 140 bits of garbage that is the real Trump. The real Trump has taken advantage of the anger that was and still is in the country, made promises that cannot be kept and nor should they - as in the healthcare bill, a misnomer if ever I heard one. He has no power nor respect to push thru anything such as his tax cuts for the rich, a reform of the tax code and thank the Lord on that for who knows what would be the end result of that and he plays dangerous games of chicken with other nutty heads of states as in North Korea and makes nicey nice to dictatorial figures of the world like Duterte and Erdogan and his best bro Putin. He loves the right wing of Hungary and Poland and this man who gives a speech talking of how we have to save the "western values" is the very one who has waged war upon those very same values.
Uhlmann has a dim view of the future should this continue to remain the status quo. He states, in an unemotional steady voice and pace, that "Some will cheer the decline of America, but I think we'll miss it when it's gone, and that's the biggest threat to the values of the West, which he claims to hold so dear."
This man is a well respected journalist and analyst and well we should heed his words. Do we want a world in turmoil? Do we want to watch the fall of the United States and the era of it in the world? Rome fell too and Greece and every other country and government that allowed its head of state to be a dictator. Dictators always run scared, afraid for their power, and eventually their house collapses too, but do we want to wait for that to happen and for the chaos that would ensue?
Trump is a man who slipped through the cracks of America at a critical time and negative emotions allowed him to gain office. But an ability to be a showman with nothing solid underneath, a malignant narcissism eating away at him and demanding that all admire him, kneel before him and his Royal Family, and a man who thinks he can consistently claim ignorance of the misdeeds of his minions, thus making him either an idiot or an evil person, more so than ever, this is a man who needs to be ousted from office. There is more than enough proof of his incompatibility with the job and its responsibilities, let alone the criminal and ethics charges that might yet be forthcoming or already are here, clearly seen.
These are strong words but more and more people are voicing them, not just thinking them. Impeachment and then possible criminal charges. But the Cabinet members have to be willing to stand up for the country, for what is right and to look aside from their 'power and their glory' and do the right thing for the country. He is a shambles of a man and had made a shambles of this country. Shame on us. Shame on us for allowing this to continue and for the hatred, the open hatred, to flourish within this country. WHAT IF IF ONLY

How many times do we ask ourselves why we had done or not done something and how that affected the consequences? How many times do we tell ourselves if only, if only? How often do we think that we are doing something good, something that is worthy, that elevates us and how many times does that good turn into not so good or get itself twisted into what ought not to be or have been? I believe this is a time when we need to be asking these questions of ourselves and our leaders and decide very carefully on our actions.
I have just finished reading two excellent books, Everybody's Son and Before We Were Yours. Both deal with children seemingly endangered in current situations and best removed from it and placed elsewhere. The results are very mixed and the constant question of should it have been, if only are always there, but at some point we must stop reevaluating the if onlys and go on from the present accepting the past as facts necessary to our understanding of the present, but not something to prevent our moving forward with an acceptance of the present and move to change the past, but we can change the present and the possibilities of the future.
Such is the situation we have today. Here in CV we have a man who thought he was the king of all to do with computers and internet and could lord it over all, but he has reached a point where his knowledge has now become outdated and in his ignorance and with his ego, he gets us into dangerous situations, unnecessary situations. Such is the current situation with Atlantic, with the electronic voting proposal, with ESignatures, with anything that is beyond his comfort zone, much to our detriment. What to do? To do is to get rid of him. He is up yet again for office this March and the best thing to do is vote him out, gone. To do that we need a candidate strong enough to withstand his nastiness during the campaign and strong enough to do what is necessary after the elections - to root out the laxness, the pettiness, the know nothings, the yes people and raid our treasury of people and talents here in the Village, to bring on a new crew who sincerely wish to improve the Village, share their talents and learn what they do not know. Yes, we can say if only, if only there were the old term limits, if only we had that access to people and information, but we need to stop the if only and do what we must, push forward and get rid of him. Improve the Village, stop the infighting, the nastiness, the sloppiness.
Such is also the situation right here in the country. Trump comes home declaring a wonderful G20 summit even as the world separates itself from us even more, getting away from the almost maniacal policies and behavior of Trump and his crew. Present means a man who simply does not have either the knowledge nor the temperament to be president. He is a man wallowing in his ignorance and incompetence and his idea of dealing with the critical military crises we now have is to play military chicken, like an adolescent on a drag strip.
He is a man who does not know how to deal with other dictators as his love and admiration for them way outweighs other points, so for two and a half hours, ignoring all other commitments, he and Putin have a love fest, where Trump does nothing at all about the interference in the 2016 election, nothing about the hacking, nothing about Russia's interference with sovereign nations, just insisting it was wonderful, even as the Russians say otherwise about its content.
And in the meanwhile not to worry, for who is taking his place at the table? Why Ivanka of course!! The princess of our new American Royal Family. Again, she is not the President and has no business there and no right making decisions there for the country. Actually, neither does her father, but that is another story, huh???
And at home the situation only gets worse. We have farmers realizing that Trump is not only screwing them with their healthcare, but also with their workers, the people they need to carry on their business. We have the desperate attempt of De Blasio to tell the people of the world that Trump is most emphatically NOT our president and his views are the views of his limited few and not the American people. The swamp is there in DC, populated by Trumpian critters.
But wait! There's more!! And not Ginzu knives either! We have a country that is dissolving with hatred, with the snakes coming out of the woodwork. We have KKK rallies in Charlotte, violent shootings of law officers even as we have shootings that are questionable in arrests. We have voters actually unregistering in Colorado and other states where information is being handed over to that fake fraud committee. But Trump had better realize that these states that are acquiescing are the very states that voted for him with the paranoid mainly off the grid people. Backfire? Maybe. It is a shame when we have governments here in the country who refuse to remember that they serve the people and not the other way around.
And if that were not enough, we find that there was yet another meeting between Trump people and the Russian and this one included members of the Royal Family, including Donald Jr. and Jared Kushner and members of the campaign. If only we would have known. If only people had voted with their brains and not their anger. If only people could have seen the future.
But no more if only, for we must move forward and no, not accept him and his policies and his lies and his incompetence and his ignorance and his nastiness and yes, his inner anti Semitism - and that is for another posting - but to fight against him, oppose him, protest, take to court, drown in paperwork and deafen him and his with the sounds of voices aroar with anger and opposition.
Century Village. America. The same, only different in size. if only yes, but we must move past it and look to what we can do about improving the prospects of the future, and yes, fix the present. It will not be easy, but it must be so. If not, who will answer in the future as to why we allowed this evil to continue? I, for one, hope we can avoid that question if we get to work now.
And by the way, Mr. President, point of information: John Podesta had nothing to do with the DNC and the Republic of China and Communist China are two VERY different entities. Take a few lessons and learn your material!!

SHORT STUFF
Why the title? Because I simply am not feeling well today and do not have the focus to write long and deep - hence short stuff.
So today at the assembly there was no quorum so very interesting and curious as to how so many were missing from last month's count. Sniff, sniff anyone? And in the meanwhile our own private Machiavelli plans his plot and his nefarious changes to our UCO and we all plan our opposition. Life goes on.
Not so sure life is going on in the country and in the world. We hear that the misnomered Better Healthcare of the GOP was a paste together plan as they never thought Trump would win so they had no plan, only a plan of behavior - to whine against Obama and the Democratic party. Clinton has her plan and was quick to produce when asked about it this week. But in the meanwhile, all GOP members began to swear allegiance to The Party rather than to the country and hence the mess we are in now.
Senate and House members seem to have lost all sense of civility and are ready to devour anyone who dares question their candidates or plans. They change tradition and in a bad way and we are not finished with the consequences of that behavior.
And in the meanwhile, Trump now realizes that his failure to back Article V of the NATO treaty was moronic so he now says oh, yes, of course it is important but honestly, the countries of Europe and the world do not trust him and I do not blame them at all. The idiot and his fellow idiots did not book hotels so they were roomless for a while and golly would it not have been nice for them to have been homeless and taste a bit of what other people feel and which more people feel what with his lack of concern for them, his continued separation of the globalist world and the jobs that will fall by the wayside.
When person after person designates the current President as a boor, crude and unmannered, an idiot, a dangerous fool, mentally unbalanced and the names and descriptive terms go on, then what are we to do? How could we possibly honor and respect a consummate liar such as he is?
And for whom do I really feel sorry? The people who elected him for all his plans will screw them royal in a major way and then what will they do? I do not understand how they continue to believe his lies, believe they can turn the dial of time back to what will never be again. The world is a changing, the times they are a changing and wishes cannot make it otherwise.
When he is dissed with the handshake bypass of the wife of the Polish Prime Minister, who then comes back to shake after leaving him looking very uncomfortable - full disclosure - I loved the video! When he cannot find the time or the point of moving his speech one mile over to the Warsaw Ghetto monument, rather than to the square of the people who stood and watched the Ghetto burn and cheered it on, other than the few righteous who helped Jews. When he thought it appropriate to send Ivanka, uh uh - she is not the President, he is - G-d help us and he should have done it. This man is not my President! Guess he had to save all his manners to make nice, nice to Putin.

"ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN"
Let us think about that statement and where it comes from. It is supposed to refer to G-d's realm, that He rules on earth and in heaven and they should be equated under G-d's reign - hopefully. Well, today we have a different sense of the phrase for VP Pence, the heartbeat away from the Oval Office man, says that America will reign in both places, on earth as in heaven, in space and our weapons will dominate it all. Oh, now I can relax but wait a minute - weapons in space? I thought there was to be a deal about that and leave space out of that race. Or at least the weapons were to be pointed outward to protect us from the deluge of ETs coming our way. But evidently Pence feels otherwise and one can just hear the cuckoo clock and one gets sentimental thinking about One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest!
Bit more to the point, what engenders these statements? What brings us to this point? I believe for us to understand that, we must parse the meaning and the atmosphere of hate. Today there is no more bipartisan movement, at least among the men. Among the women in government there still remains that bipartisan attempt but unfortunately there are places where there is either this side or that and no in between.
Right here in CV we have that situation. There is either the camp of David Israel or the opposition camp where there are many toiling to rid ourselves of the hate mongering Israel camp, the anti democratic camp which wishes to install one man rule in our CV accompanied by the fake officers who in actuality are his puppets and mouth breathing followers. And yes, there are one or two who try to an extent to remember the residents, but even they fall prey to the blindfold that David wraps around their eyes. Too sad to even think about but think we must.
Here, in a few words are the plans of David:
A useless Delegate Assembly which will have no power whatsoever unless it be to echo his desires.
An Officers group which in essence will make the decisions for the Village - as so bidden to by David. Perhaps the Executive Board will be allowed a vote as well but the vote is just as meaningless for they too will vote as ordered.
Any suggested change or petition will be ruled upon by said officers and if no then the delegates do not even get to hear it. Yup! I kid you not.
Any petition must be of 59 signatures reached thru an arcane mathematical figuring and each signature must be only by a delegate and no alternates allowed and from individual associations!!
All associations are equal here, be they 82 units or 16 units and we all know who controls those half dead smaller associations, do we not?!
There are plans to increase that amount of signatures to 117!!!!
ESignatures are not to be accepted - or so the Luddite man of the computers so states.
He refuses to release information and will defy Freedom of Information Act requests, the refusing to allow the names of delegates to be public therefore making it impossible for any number of signatures to be gotten!
All so called Volunteers will still be restricted to his puppets or those who can be so trained.
All newspaper and radio access, assemblies and debates will be denied or extremely limited hence no fair ability to campaign.
UCO will delete its statement of purpose, hence it is no longer to be there as an instrument to serve the residents of the Village. David and WPRF only.
WPRF will continue to grow in authority and restrictions handed down on the residents even as they increase the cost of lease of WPRF facilities.
The cost of living here will soon prove to be unbearable and unsustainable as costs rise, as services deteriorate, as infrastructure crumbles and even as the cable and internet service prove so faulty as to prove to be unusable. And so much for $35 million dollars. And all the rest of the fiscally irregular and unreasonable contracts that have been signed and that will be signed in the future.

But how do we stop that hate which flows ever downward from the Oval Office, that hate engendered by that dangerous man, Trump. He and his have caused such a deep split in this country that I wonder if we really and truly all pledge to the same one. His ignorance rules the day as does the ignorance of the Secretary of Energy who does not know the true definition of supply and demand!! Lord above!!
How are we to feel when his policies, or lack of them, his stupid mouth and behavior, has brought us closer to the point of nuclear war than any time since the Cuban Missile Crisis. Today I read just what I need to survive the first week after a nuclear attack!! As if there will be any survival or any use of survival?! He complains of leakage, and yes there is more leakage from his administration than ever before but what is being leaked are reports of unethical, immoral and perhaps even illegal doings in Washington and in the new swamp he has created!! Never mind the leakers - the whistle blowers - mind the garbage that he has brought to Washington!!
There has now been shown that there are hidden pockets of poverty amongst us, in the suburbs as well as in the rural areas and cities. Trump wishes to add to that poverty and death traps by cutting healthcare even as he so cynically offers to care for a British infant who is dying with no hope of a remedy. For that he has the money but not for an unfortunate American suffering from terminal illnesses that could have been cured or avoided? This false business is sickening to the extreme. And it all leads to hate. It leads to a dangerous rage amongst the people. It leads to people who cannot hear each other anymore.
And it all points to the need for action on the part of the sane people of America even as we need action on the part of the sane and reasonable people of CV. And yes, we might even have to take to the streets once more in order to make these points, but if so, then so be it. Civil protest is legal and apparently alive and well and will continue to be and do so as long as there is breath inside us.
Bit more to the point, what engenders these statements? What brings us to this point? I believe for us to understand that, we must parse the meaning and the atmosphere of hate. Today there is no more bipartisan movement, at least among the men. Among the women in government there still remains that bipartisan attempt but unfortunately there are places where there is either this side or that and no in between.
Right here in CV we have that situation. There is either the camp of David Israel or the opposition camp where there are many toiling to rid ourselves of the hate mongering Israel camp, the anti democratic camp which wishes to install one man rule in our CV accompanied by the fake officers who in actuality are his puppets and mouth breathing followers. And yes, there are one or two who try to an extent to remember the residents, but even they fall prey to the blindfold that David wraps around their eyes. Too sad to even think about but think we must.
Here, in a few words are the plans of David:
A useless Delegate Assembly which will have no power whatsoever unless it be to echo his desires.
An Officers group which in essence will make the decisions for the Village - as so bidden to by David. Perhaps the Executive Board will be allowed a vote as well but the vote is just as meaningless for they too will vote as ordered.
Any suggested change or petition will be ruled upon by said officers and if no then the delegates do not even get to hear it. Yup! I kid you not.
Any petition must be of 59 signatures reached thru an arcane mathematical figuring and each signature must be only by a delegate and no alternates allowed and from individual associations!!
All associations are equal here, be they 82 units or 16 units and we all know who controls those half dead smaller associations, do we not?!
There are plans to increase that amount of signatures to 117!!!!
ESignatures are not to be accepted - or so the Luddite man of the computers so states.
He refuses to release information and will defy Freedom of Information Act requests, the refusing to allow the names of delegates to be public therefore making it impossible for any number of signatures to be gotten!
All so called Volunteers will still be restricted to his puppets or those who can be so trained.
All newspaper and radio access, assemblies and debates will be denied or extremely limited hence no fair ability to campaign.
UCO will delete its statement of purpose, hence it is no longer to be there as an instrument to serve the residents of the Village. David and WPRF only.
WPRF will continue to grow in authority and restrictions handed down on the residents even as they increase the cost of lease of WPRF facilities.
The cost of living here will soon prove to be unbearable and unsustainable as costs rise, as services deteriorate, as infrastructure crumbles and even as the cable and internet service prove so faulty as to prove to be unusable. And so much for $35 million dollars. And all the rest of the fiscally irregular and unreasonable contracts that have been signed and that will be signed in the future.

DEMOCRACY ANYONE?
I remember reading the statement that Democracy was the worst government ever - until it was compared to all the others. It has many weak points where the vicious and the power hungry can take advantage and stifle democracy and even destroy it altogether. Yet democracy has an inner resilience and an innate attraction to thinking mankind and will not be defeated. It is that which we must keep in mind in these perilous times.
Theodore Roosevelt stated that "Americans learn only from catastrophe and not from experience." We are quickly approaching that point both here in the country and here in the Village.
How many times do we find that one ruthless and immoral person, hungry for power, uses the democratic practices in place to get into a position of power and then refuse to give that power up and instead, mercilessly, manipulates all people and actions to insure his permanent position of power and the demise of democracy in that particular entity.
We see that all over the world, especially in African countries and in Arab countries especially during the so called Arab Spring where there is so much tribal and clan warfare and when a democratic election is held, the winner then takes advantage of the results to insure his permanent seat and cancels all elections. It is most telling that many of these "democratic" countries all include the designation 'Democratic Republic or Country...." when they are the furthest thing from it.
We here in CV are a small entity, not important to the survival of the world or even to the survival of our country. Yet we too are being subjected to a thief of democracy, one who uses his elected position to turn it into a position for life and who has worked very hard and very underhandedly to insure that he indeed remains in power. Rules are changed and discarded. He instigates votes until he gets term limits overturned. He restricts the people of UCO to an ever narrowing group of people, people who also long for a position to validate their lives, have a pinch of power, think they are of the power elite, people who have ceded their souls and their minds and given up free thought and any and all concern for their fellow residents. Yes there is an exception here and there, but not enough, not nearly enough.
All manner of media is suppressed, be it the old newspaper now deemed a rag, or meetings and assemblies, permission to place flyers in the Clubhouse, and denied any and all information re delegates to the DA in order to pass on unbiased information or in fact any information that is deemed contrary to that of David Israel.
All information that should be able to be accessed is blocked. Now there is a new step or two that will further limit democracy here. Any proposal needs to be accompanied by 59 delegate signatures from 59 different associations and guess what? How is anyone to know who these delegates are since their names are kept secret! Wish the files would have been kept as secret from the Russians!! And why the new limitation on signatures? Why must they be from different associations, particularly harsh on any progress here in the Village when most of the delegates are away and quorum is often not obtained? The game is fixed from the beginning and even should these onerous conditions be met, the Advisory or officers or Executive Bd. loaded with the same people, can kill it off and leave the DA with their mouths wide open.
David Israel is too afraid to allow true democracy to flourish here for he knows there is a growing opposition to him, a growing dislike of his behavior, of his fast and loose signatures on miserable contracts for the Village, his abominable behavior and attitude towards any who are not his zombies. Time for this man to go, ASAP. Must we all be involved with lawyers and court costs and shame in front of the world?
That shame in front of the world is what we Americans now have and all due to the vile presence of Trump in the Oval Office. He is eminently unfit for office, mentally unbalanced or worse, unprepared and operating on a juvenile level which is only topped when there is cheating on taxes or profits to be gained for him and his. He is a man who speaks as a child as in some country's behavior is "very, very bad". Perhaps, but there are better and more descriptive language terms and words to use.
He has brought in new swamp critters who have less than zero connections to the people of the country, people with enough money to survive no matter what, who have their own gold plated medical plan, people who bossed industry, but are not fit to boss a government and a new Judge in the Supreme Court who has never met a restrictive law he does not like nor a woman who deserves rights and control over her own body. He buddies with Clarence Thomas, another man who should never have been allowed to even walk in the hallways of the Supreme Court! Under his administration there is again rampant discrimination as to gender pay in the White House, with women getting far, far less than men and look what men these are!!!
Democracy and the pillars of it are being attacked on a daily basis by the very ones who should be defending it. Accusations against the judiciary, threats to the legislative branch and a lack of staffing, and daily attacks on the press and all media - just where do we expect this to end. Today we are hoping that the Supreme Court recognizes family relationships such as grandparents and grandchildren, and others and limits the travel ban restrictions. A President Pence would not be much of an improvement but at least he has some inkling of mature adult behavior! And if necessary, if we have to go further in our defense of democracy here in America, then we will so do, until we get to a governmental official who is ready, willing and able to defend and uphold the democratic principles of our country. If we do not ..... you fill in the blanks.
We need to have a President who pals up with other democracies and not only show admiration for dictators and right leaning rulers. We need a person who knows and understands that we must stick by our friends for if not, at a time when we need them they will not be there and who can blame them and that time is nigh upon us.
We need to unite against Vladimir Putin and his buddies and develop methods to counteract their poisonous intrusion into our very heart of the system, pure voting, untainted by foreign interference or any other trickery. We need to be able to answer and withstand their implied an overt threats as they are now doing ahead of a meeting. We need to get rid of hypocrites such as the people of Hobby Lobby who cannot tolerate the thought of freedom of choice, but who can easily do business with a massive amount of stolen artifacts! So much for morality!
Democracy is hard earned, hard to achieve and even more difficult to maintain. But it is the best choice we have. Do not allow Trump and his buddies to take over the country or place it in imminent danger and do not allow idiots who think the Declaration of Independence is fomenting rebellion!! It did once, true, but what it is doing now is reminding all of what we have here, what was fought for and what needs to remain in existence. And as for us here in CV - let us begin by the uprooting of the dictator Israel for he is no friend to democracy and no friend to the residents of the Village. Join together and let us rid ourselves of all dictators and wannabes. Let us use the law as a tool for ourselves and for the right path.

The Donald’s numbers are down - the conservative Republicans are beginning to doubt him - he and his buddy Vlad is scheduled to meet at the G-20. Via telephone, they concoct the following scheme:
Vlad: I get Mohawk hair to send another missile in the air before we meet. After we talk, I tell Mohawk “No more missiles," - for now.
Donald: But Vlad, what if he doesn’t listen?
Vlad: Don’t worry, he will listen. I have KGB. They tell me he listens, he is sissy. Don’t want anybody to know.
Donald: Ok, if you think so.
Vlad: You will be a big hero. Your numbers will go up, up, up, then we will continue with our plan to destroy America, and you will be rich man living in a palatial dacha with all those Russian beauties at your back and call.
Don: Vlad, Don’t you mean, Beck and call.
Vlad: No, they will be on your back, Russian beauties are good masseuse. You will be a hero, and I guarantee your numbers will go up. What you say?
Donald: Let’s do it.
Vlad hangs up the telephone, turns to his KGB assistant and with a coy smile says,
VLAD: Our little Natasha will take care of the Donald while we take over America, Ya?
(KGB Assistant raises his right hand as if holding a glass) "NA ZDOROVIE".

ARE YOU FRIGHTENED? YOU SHOULD BE
Why that question and answer? Because in catching up to the news this AM, I truly realized that the firmament beneath our feet is disturbed, greatly so and the cracks are seen everywhere. No, not talking about the cracks in the road here in the Village, but the cracks in our democracy, the cracks seen in the world where they should not be, the cracks formed in our hearts when one we trust or are supposed to trust, breaks that very same trust in a devastating manner with devastating results.
There are qualities of office that the officeholder is supposed to have. There are certain qualities that we would hope people have and understand in the 21st century and yet, where are these selfsame qualities? Not here. Where is the honest feeling of appreciation for the trust placed in one's behavior in office? For example, we now have a $35 million contract for TV and cable here in the Village. It is a boondoggle from beginning to end and was not even necessary to have in the first place. At a meeting on Monday, when David Israel was asked for a start date as it seemed to be missing, he causally said oh, it will be there, there will be a start date. Well, duh, it should start at some unknown date - we hope - but how does one sign a contract without a start date? How does one sign a contract without clauses that take care of the Villagers should Atlantic not be ready on time? How do we have a contract where clauses and terms that were in there were changed and no revote or permission asked or granted? This is a major violation of office and responsibilities and frankly, David Israel has violated every precept of fiscal responsibility in a continuing path that begins in the past and seemingly will continue until he dies, as he seems to have glued himself to the office for life.
He blew off the concerns of Villagers about the dangerous narrowing of a path to the Haverhill gate and only due to the response of Ed Black and Don Foster to the request to do something by George Lowenstein was anything done. Thank you for that. But that leaves David out in the cold, does it not?
He is simply a mirror to the nastiness of the rest of the world, to the nastiness of the Reddit guy who posted that vicious video only to have Trump post it on his personal twitter account, along with music no less. The quality of dignity? Nowhere to be found. The quality of accepting criticism and reacting to it as an adult? Nowhere around.
Instead what we get is a President who is going to meet with the head of an enemy state of ours and he is totally screwed no matter what he does. Does he add or remove sanctions re Ukraine? Does he talk on Putin re the meddling in our elections? Does he offer platitudes and then how does he explain that? Does he come out in the open and admit his collusion? The NSA has definitively shown the degree of Russian interference and hacking and now the Georgia election is being challenged due to the vicious and widespread hacking of their voting system. And now there is growing evidence that the vicious Russian Mafia, the criminals of Russia and the oligarchs are involved. Be frightened people, be frightened. Are you frightened? I am, for this is our country, our democracy, our independence and our future.
Are you frightened when the lessons we should already know are tweeted by Lady Gaga? "I wish all people on the internet would be positive and loving and a part of creating an online community that is kind and empowering, not hateful and mean. Work harder to be kinder everybody. That should be your first duty to humanity."
Where are the heroes of yesteryear, the people who represent the best in and of us? When the Vatican's quasi official hospital admits to evil practices, when Chaldean Christians who have been facing unbelievable persecution in Iran are first welcomed here by Trump and then being chased by his ICE, then where are we? What are we? Where have all the humane qualities gone?
In one touch of hope, the original painting of the presentation of the Declaration of Independence by Thomas Jefferson was reformatted with descendants of those very same signers, the founders of our nation. And guess what? There was a picture of a diverse population - Native American, Asian, African American, Hispanic, Whites of various religions. That, my friends, is America today and America yesterday and the best America of the future. We need to make sure that it truly remains so. So take the fright and work it, take it where it needs to go and do what needs to be done.

The NSA has definitively shown the degree of Russian interference and hacking and now the Georgia election is being challenged due to the vicious and widespread hacking of their voting system. And now there is growing evidence that the vicious Russian Mafia, the criminals of Russia and the oligarchs are involved. Be frightened people, be frightened. Are you frightened? I am, for this is our country, our democracy, our independence and our future.
Are you frightened when the lessons we should already know are tweeted by Lady Gaga? "I wish all people on the internet would be positive and loving and a part of creating an online community that is kind and empowering, not hateful and mean. Work harder to be kinder everybody. That should be your first duty to humanity."
Where are the heroes of yesteryear, the people who represent the best in and of us? When the Vatican's quasi official hospital admits to evil practices, when Chaldean Christians who have been facing unbelievable persecution in Iran are first welcomed here by Trump and then being chased by his ICE, then where are we? What are we? Where have all the humane qualities gone?
In one touch of hope, the original painting of the presentation of the Declaration of Independence by Thomas Jefferson was reformatted with descendants of those very same signers, the founders of our nation. And guess what? There was a picture of a diverse population - Native American, Asian, African American, Hispanic, Whites of various religions. That, my friends, is America today and America yesterday and the best America of the future. We need to make sure that it truly remains so. So take the fright and work it, take it where it needs to go and do what needs to be done.

This just in. Yesterday NPR tweeted the entire Declaration of Independence in 140 character bits. Morons of the country united and sent tweets to NPR accusing them of fomenting violence and rebellion against Trump and in not such nice terms. Imagine WHEN IN THE COURSE OF HUMAN EVENTS.... the seven most powerful words in human history and these illiterates do not recognize it!! Such is what admires Trump!! G-d help us all.

BIRTHDAYS
Happy Birthday, America and Happy Birthday, Mommy. One is 241 years old and the other would have been 95, an age possibility these days. But she is gone from physical life though always present in my heart and mind. Our country is here, but is struggling today, a deep struggle of major divides within the country and there are doubts within the minds of people about its future and meaning. Perhaps we need to combine the two birthdays and see if we come out ahead.
My mom did not have an easy life. A child of the Depression, there were times she went hungry, years when she literally had two changes of clothing - wear one, wash one and this affected her for the rest of her life. We always had a pantry room full of cans and condiments, supplies and when my parents were able to finally afford extra purchases of clothing, it became a family joke how one needed to buy 'one in every color and every shade of that color'. We could laugh about it, but when we did one could see the remembering in my mother's eyes about the time when that was impossible, when the full pantry was a dream, when America was not always so kind to its citizens in physical ways and needs.
And yet we were taught from early years to love and respect our country, to honor it, to salute its flag, to value the rights it gave us and the refuge it gave to people, especially Jewish people over the years, even though the border gates were not always so open for them or any other immigrants.
My mom stressed that things could always get better, that the worst can be overcome, that hard work makes a difference, and that family is of utmost importance. We started out as a nation with nothing, when the Jews exited slavery from Egypt and we lost all belongings countless times as we were chased and exiled and burnt out but always, when we complained how we would like a toy or game or item of clothing that we could not afford, my mother would tell us the story of a famous rabbi, the Chofetz Chaim, who possessed few possessions other than his brilliant mind and his holy books. When people came to pay homage to him, or ask for advice or a blessing, they would look around and ask where his belongings were. His answer was a question - so where are yours? Their answer that they were just passing through prompted his response - and so am I.
The most important possessions we can have are our minds, our hearts, our souls and the knowledge of how to choose good over bad, how to appreciate what we have and always to value love. With those we can improve the world, take on the takanah - the fixing - of the world, a Jewish theme and value. And with those we can leave behind a good name, a crown valued above all.
So today when the firecrackers explode overhead and the barbecues sizzle, I will remember you, Mommy, my Nellie, and all the values you imparted to me, to us. I still miss you so much but always you are with me and always I send you hugs and kisses as I still feel yours and hear your voice in times of need and stress. And with your teachings and values, because of you, I will continue to fight for what is right and against what is wrong, be it here in the Village or out there in the country or in the world.

That is the trending twitter site now. People have just about have had it with a so called President who is not! It is not just the video that he pieced together. It is that it not only was on his private or personal Twitter account but also on his official POTUS one. But more than that - it is the violence and the rage, the vicious punching to the head, the repetition of the punches and the face on him!! It is the face of a bully child, a child who cannot control his rage, but this is the face of the President of the United States. Criticism comes with the territory, like it or not and if one cannot stand the heat, then get out, go away, resign, quit, or get removed from office. And yes, there is the concern that Pence is no better or perhaps even worse with his understated approach but nasty facts and close ties to the America First policies group, but Trump cannot remain in office, simple as that.

Here is yet another - "trump is a disgrace. He is unfit. He is dangerous. He is uncouth. He is unprofessional. He is unhinged. We need the #25thAmendmentNow.
From thousands on impeachment marches to the bipartisan governors effort who are rallying against the misnomered healthcare plan, to plain people like me who are scared witless at the thought of this man continuing as President - this has got to change. In the days before a busy week this fake guy had nothing better to do than shout "I am the president"? He had nothing to prepare for, only time to do this video? He had no statements re the ruinous steel proposal he has but enough time to order or allow yet another tease at China with a warship, even as he is supposed to be meeting with XI? Fake brains? Is that the cause?
His administration is facing major difficulties as their departments are majorly understaffed and as the new Secretaries have distanced themselves from the professional and career staff, have shown their ignorance and their desires to take down their very departments and what they stand for, and our government is simply not functioning in a positive manner, though it has the time and the focus to destroy our environment as they take down every one of the rules placed into action under Obama. So here we go with the Death Budget - just kill off the excess citizens and 'bad hombres" and look how much money will be saved and look how happy industry will be as the air darkens, as the water is befouled, as the sicknesses abound from chemical spills, poor working conditions and dangerous consumer goods once again. Such a man!! Such an administration!!
There is a huge display of contempt for the electorate, a sense of entitlement from the administration members and fans. Business is business. Patriotism is no longer in effect as the media becomes "the enemy of the people" - a horrifying echo of all dictators, as the President befriends his favorite dictators, as he declares a fake and fascistic sounding holiday as he was inaugurated - the National Day of Patriotic Devotion! Can't you just see the Communist mobs out there upon order of the Party, or the howling masses of Nazi Germany? But not to worry - just go relax with Christie as has plenty of room lounging around on the very beaches he has closed to others in his state!! The arrogance of it all!
On the very days before July 4 this man demeans the democracy of our country. He is actually dismantling it, he the man who is not even a legitimate winner of the election! He leaks intelligence, allows Russian press in to a meeting but not American press, disallows press briefings, has conflicts of interest between his private interests and those of the country and he could care less! It is the time of industry to rape our country and its citizens, to get away with whatever they can.
And this behavior trickles, no, actually pours down the ranks of the country and administrators. They have begun to think that they make the laws, that the Constitution is now a raggedy old useless piece of parchment, more useful in fake rallies than in the actualities of life. When we talk of impeachment we must look towards our own situation and ask - why the hell not? Here are some of the grievous sins against democracy here in the Village.
Signs contracts without permission.
Changes approved contracts AFTER the vote, thus nullifying the approval.
Has tamped down upon our civil rights - freedom of the press, freedom of speech, freedom of assembly.
Has disallowed access to the newspaper in the Village and barred placement of another Village paper within the Village. He has even threatened outside businesses to remove the papers there.
He has barred the access of opponents to the public as they run against him and his in so called elections.
Has cooperated fully with the 'bosses' as our money is thrown away on costs that are not ours but those of WPRF.
Has purposely and purposefully limited access to UCO, the Village administration.
Has allowed a constant threat of "disbarment" from the body politic here for those owners who "violate" the arbitrary rules.
Has co-operated with WPRF in infantilizing the residents by telling them what they can and cannot do - i.e. clothing in the clubhouse rules, important rules re popcorn! in the Clubhouse, having the committee taking the time to discuss this rather than the important issues of the Village.
Has joined together with others to waste our funds on multi million dollar boondoggles such as the poor paving job and the proposed DSL and now the Atlantic business.
Has improperly conducted meetings and assemblies, warping the job of the Chair and in fact, taking over the meetings and barring opposition speakers from their turn at the mic.
Has made great efforts to cancelling term limits and thus installing him as a declared "President for Life', determining all who would be allowed within UCO and who are barred from it.
Has committed multiple infractions and placed artificial barriers to the efforts of those wishing to reform the Village and specifically bring back UCO to its proper job.
Has neglected to go forward with soon to be upon us negotiations for the very life of the Village by 2022.
Has raised the barriers necessary to overcome in order to achieve change.
Refuses to release papers and information, thus violating Federal laws.
Has refused to accept the use of ESignatures even as the Federal government and business does. All under the umbrella reasoning of bar the doors to the residents.
For these and other unnamed reasons, we feel that impeachment would be applicable here as well as in the country.
Goose and gander rules the day. We need to force our so called leaders to put on some clothes already. We need to teach these so called governmental figures that they are indeed public servants and if they cannot deal with that then leave. And as we lead the younger generation in protesting, as we return to our roots, let us remember the chant - POWER TO THE PEOPLE. Enough already.

IN CASE OF EMERGENCY BREAK GLASS
We see that 6 word advice on every fire protection device hanging on the walls and halls. And so states Representative Raskin from Maryland. He describes as he calls it, "a bizarre litany of events and outbursts." Even listening to Trump's so called Freedom Rally speech at the Kennedy Center, one can only shake a head and ask just how we reached this point.
In that campaign rally speech, for that is essentially what it was, Trump talks of freedom of religion - as he talks at a rally of evangelicals, after the pastor practically drooled in his overarching adoration of no, not the Lord, but his apparent representative on earth, Trump. Nauseating. Freedom of faith means that the President represents all faiths and sects from Christian to Jewish to Moslem to Sikh to Hindu to Bahai to Buddhism and everything in between. It also means that he protects and represents atheists and agnostics as well! It means not forcing another's religious belief on someone else. And the hypocrisy continued.
America is the protection of the weak by the strong, of protecting the oppressed and it went on and yet all that he said is exactly the opposite in real life under Trump. What he states needs to be turned around to get at the truth, the sad truth of what America has become and what it yet is on its way to becoming even more in that twisted Trumpian vision for our country.
In that country there will be only Executive Orders. In that country there will be no freedom, no privacy, for all data and information will be known to the government. In that country there will not even be an election as we know it, but more like that of all dictator controlled countries. Even Fox News, even Pirro, a right winger, stated "he needs to stay focused on speeches like this, and not get crazy on Twitter," and I agree with the twitter part, though not the speech, a representative speech of all that is wrong with him as he ranted yet again about the fake press, the nasty media. Like an infant who cannot let go. Just saw a video that the infant made of him taking down a representative of CNN in a wrestling match. This is what kids do, brothers as they play make up bouts, not 71 year old men who are supposed to have a dignity of office and a maturity evel that precludes this crap!! Sickening.
One character in a story was given advice by another. "Understand your situation, and then deal with it as it is, not as you want it to be. If it's not as you want it to be, then fix it,...Identify the weakness, and be the change for the better."
Exactly!! We are in one of the worst situations ever in our history. Yes, war was horrible and we are in a 16 year war at present, but the worst is that we have a leader who is mentally unbalanced, who will drag us to depths of insanity, of disaster, even as he preaches a crazy tariff on steel, a tariff which will begin a global protectionist action and a global recession such as we have not seen before.
His sustained record of wacky and nasty tweets show a pattern and not a good one either. They are even deranged.We see the situation we are in and like it or not we have to act. So what to do? Representative Raskin has a petition for impeachment going with 25 Representative signatures already and there is a very large movement in the grass roots section of population that wants to Impeach Trump Now. More and more people are climbing on board, stating openly that the president is crazy, lunatic in behavior and speech. Just watching on the computer as he spoke yesterday makes me shudder. That insane and inane smirk every few seconds. That orange look, a fake tan on a man who sits in a room like a couch potato to get his daily fix of news, food for his tweets, the whole gestalt of the man - folks, I have said it long ago that he is off, that he is wrong, just wrong and more and more people are saying the same thing, coming to the same conclusions and we all need to do something. Even his own party members are basically saying enough of this. We all see the situation as is so now let us do something about it. There are laws, there are ways, so let us "do something" about it!!
Ignoring situations only allows them to grow to crisis proportions no matter the entity involved. We here in America are at a crisis point nationally, so it is no comfort to realize that we are also at a crisis point right here in the Village. We have as head of the administration here a man who thinks and even states that he is President for Life. So does that mean only death will free us from his dictates? I certainly hope that we do not have to wait till that point in time!
Here we have another man who uses lies as a technique, a standard as any other. He tells half truths, full lies and goes ahead and signs contracts that are not the approved ones from the Assembly. He tries to go around the DA as he did with the proposed exchange of the realty building for the shack on the edge of the old what used to be lovely golf course. He ruined us with the road paving, he and his crew and now we are even starting to fix potholes and major cracks running thru the roads and not just in the association areas of paving. He refuses to allow people outside of "his crowd" to partake in UCO, has signed a multi million dollar contract obligating us for ten years now to a miserable cable company, at a time when we still had two years to go with Comcast and the times are a changin' in this whole area. So why the contract and why all the changes and additions and lack of fixes in the contract? Press David Israel on that. Press him hard, for it is our money and our homes that are being threatened and wasted. And again - what is in it for David Israel? Why is he so gung ho on this Atlantic contract and did he purposely lie to the Assembly when describing it in order to get it passed?
Why has he allowed WPRF to shift millions of dollars of capital improvements onto us as "repairs"? Why are we paying for murals that cost us thousands and do nothing to improve the Village even as the lakes go algae welcoming again, as the infrastructure continues to break down ever more quickly and as we patch it rather than fix the whole system? Time and time again we are royally screwed by this man and his crew.
There was just a situation where a governmental, not federal, entity had to disclose and turn over information and papers under the FOIA, the Freedom of Information Act. But not David and his UCO. The government accepts ESignatures - but not David. Excuse me, but who the hell does he think he is, even as he continues to run meetings in an irregular and just plain wrong manner.
Impeachment for the two wacky and dangerous leaders. Now!! They are truly naked!!

AND THE FILTH KEEPS COMING ALONG....
The minute this man opens his mouth the more garbage spews forth. The man is friends with the editor or publisher of The National Enquirer, a prime example of rag journalism and they were going to publish a story about Mika and Joe that had nothing to do with news and all about scandal and the ruining of reputations. Joe spoke to Jared about killing the story - not to Trump - and he told them they would basically have to apologize for their coverage, critical coverage, of him on their show. Just like a king demanding that his subject crawl on knees to beg forgiveness. Except this man is not a king nor even a normal human being and Joe said no, emphatically so and good for him. In the meanwhile, Trump, who can never let go of anything, tweeted around how one day he would tell the whole story of those "clowns". This man is like the mean alpha girl in the grade!! Except he is 71 years old and not a teenage girl!! And Melania says she is going to fight cyberbullying?! Look closely into your own home, Melania, very closely indeed.
But this Trump is not finished yet. The proposed healthcare bill is one that proposes to take healthcare away from millions upon millions, make it far worse and very much more expensive for tens of millions more of people - and these people form his base! - and then take all that money saved and give it to the rich for their pocket money!! Yes, a backwards Robin Hood - he steals from the poor and gives to the rich- his own version of a highway robber! And do not forget the people, the Senators and House Reps that are gung ho for this, those with no feeling, those who think that any and all social welfare net programs need to be destroyed. He has now instructed the Senate Republicans to REPEAL and never mind replace!! Such care, such concern, such worry for his people.
And why are they so hot to trot on this? Because of prejudice and fear. They fear the madman in the Oval Office, they fear the next election and they could care less about the electorate And remember - all this time they have pushed the idea that the majority of those on social welfare programs are those of a darker hue, not like "us", are lazy, do not work nor want to work. Yet how many people do I know who are white and who need the programs that help feed their children, train the workers, give healthcare to those who are ill. Why not take a tour of Appalachia, or the backwoods of Maine, or the hollers of Kentucky and Tennessee? Personally, I cannot stomach this selfishness, this nastiness, this cold and harsh attitude towards any and all others. It is time to ditch it for good!!
People need help. Period. It is not the faulty thinking that still remains in the halls of government, particularly Republicans. People get sick. People fall behind in a fast moving world and there is no retraining because the funds are cut. There is no help for them. Kids cannot learn because they are hungry. We mistreat our citizens and curse the rest of the world as unimportant as America First policies eat away at the foundation of the country and the foundations of the world.
"President Trump launched personal attacks against us Thursday, but our concerns about his unmoored behavior go far beyond the personal. America’s leaders and allies are asking themselves yet again whether this man is fit to be president. We have our doubts, but we are both certain that the man is not mentally equipped to continue watching our show, “Morning Joe.”
So said the two talk show hosts and so do many of us feel. This man is most emphatically not fit to be president and he did not win it in a valid manner either. So what are we going to do about it? There is a huge push and an organization which says - Impeach Trump Now. What a great idea!
But this Trump is not finished yet. The proposed healthcare bill is one that proposes to take healthcare away from millions upon millions, make it far worse and very much more expensive for tens of millions more of people - and these people form his base! - and then take all that money saved and give it to the rich for their pocket money!! Yes, a backwards Robin Hood - he steals from the poor and gives to the rich- his own version of a highway robber! And do not forget the people, the Senators and House Reps that are gung ho for this, those with no feeling, those who think that any and all social welfare net programs need to be destroyed. He has now instructed the Senate Republicans to REPEAL and never mind replace!! Such care, such concern, such worry for his people.
And why are they so hot to trot on this? Because of prejudice and fear. They fear the madman in the Oval Office, they fear the next election and they could care less about the electorate And remember - all this time they have pushed the idea that the majority of those on social welfare programs are those of a darker hue, not like "us", are lazy, do not work nor want to work. Yet how many people do I know who are white and who need the programs that help feed their children, train the workers, give healthcare to those who are ill. Why not take a tour of Appalachia, or the backwoods of Maine, or the hollers of Kentucky and Tennessee? Personally, I cannot stomach this selfishness, this nastiness, this cold and harsh attitude towards any and all others. It is time to ditch it for good!!
People need help. Period. It is not the faulty thinking that still remains in the halls of government, particularly Republicans. People get sick. People fall behind in a fast moving world and there is no retraining because the funds are cut. There is no help for them. Kids cannot learn because they are hungry. We mistreat our citizens and curse the rest of the world as unimportant as America First policies eat away at the foundation of the country and the foundations of the world.
