So this morning I noticed that there is a notice on David's blog that if you are interested in meeting with a Republican candidate in a certain date in the Clubhouse, to please RSVP to Anitra. Excuse me!!!????
Something is off here. While I think we should absolutely have the right to bring in candidates for various offices, I swear, I can remember being told that we could not have a meeting or hand out any flyers in the Clubhouse or on hallowed Clubhouse grounds because it was that dirty word, - POLITICAL - EEEEKKK!!!
So here was a long time resident among a group of other long time residents who asked for a room and rights that they pay for, who were denied because it was POLITICAL _EEEEKKK!!! And now, we have a Republican candidate being brought in and again, I could care less who it is, just that it is political, but even worse - respond to Anitra? A renter. A renter has permission to do this, to be a sponsor or a representative and owners did not? Oh, EEEVAH - you got some 'splaining to do.
Do you not see how ridiculous, how wrong this all is. People, we need to take control of our lives here in the Village. Unless you enjoy being treated like a doddering old fool with no more sense than a two year old, you have no other recourse than to let Eva know that you are upset at this blatant skewing of rights here in the Clubhouse and would appreciate a reversal of decisions - goose and gander, you know. One way or the other.
Eva, I would love to hear from you on this issue. I really would. And please leave out that this is an outside politician. Politics is politics and inside politics actually is quite relevant and important enough to be allowed in our hallowed Clubhouse walls and certainly a RENTER should not have control nor precedence over owners.
