VERY INTERESTING DELEGATE ASSEMBLY

     It was a very interesting meeting today. First, there was no quorum so no votes could go on. Wonder if that was planned or not, since David Israel knew very well that there would be controversy about the 1.2 million dollar shortfall. It is not Howie O'Brien's fault that there is a shortfall. Rather, it is the fault of David Israel and crew who brought it upon us with their movement of money from reserve funds to the paving job for which we sure as hell did not get our money's worth and his fault that in 4 and a half years as president of UCO he could not find a way to ameliorate this problem.
 Now we are told that we will have a $16 plus extra fee to pay in order to bring the budget back to order, but as I pointed out, there are many in this Village who cannot pay such an increase. They simply do not have the funds for this AND for the other increases coming our way. When I asked about other ways, Marcia Ziccardi said one way is to move the funds from Wi Fi to cover some of the shortage. With delegate approval this can and should be done and with an austerity budget for the next few years we can be able to fix this issue without such an increase. Pickle ball courts will have to wait. Fancy shrubbery will have to wait. Reserve money for the new paving job must be paid in as do other necessities.
     WPRF needs to be told to rein in on the spending and spend what we must to keep infrastructure in good condition but no fancy stuff and no unnecessary spending. We have been saying this for a long time and now maybe David Israel has painted himself into a corner that even he cannot weasel out of.
     People and delegates, this must be addressed and you, the delegates cannot just sit there like dummies and vote the way David Israel says simply because he says it. Start to think and get out of your ruts and residents, tell your delegates what they must vote or throw them out of office and elect new delegates. It is your wallet, your financial well being, your home at stake.
     If your delegate is here and does not come to meetings except when David Israel and crew come to pick them up, then they are living fossils and do not know what is going on. You need to retire them and elect new ones who are thinking beings, who care enough to go to meetings. If this is not done, then you have only yourselves to blame for the horrific increases of monthly fees that you will be paying. And all because David Israel and crew are financially incompetent, could care less and have no interest in fixing the problem they created. He needs to go and by the way, so do Phyllis Siegelberg and Pat Sealander who sit up there at every meeting and always have nothing to say. What the hell are they doing anyway, except brown nosing their master, David Israel and giving dirty looks to those who dare to speak up at committee meetings. Only G-d knows and He is probably quite puzzled too.
