YA' THINK!!

     What struck me the most this morning were the statements about the current situation. Here are a few sample statements which put chills down my spine and fear in my heart.
 "Anybody who says we're not living in a divisive era in our country is not paying attention to what's going on,"
     "Something's wrong. Either the President doesn't know what he's talking about. ... Or something's very wrong here about meeting the needs of the American people at this time"
"unconstitutional slop"
     "I can't predict the future all together."
      “Why does Donald Trump not want to stop Russia from interfering in this election? You have to ask that question. It’s the wellspring of our democracy.”
     "the devastating incident was “a terrible attack,” claiming “some of our great generals” thought it was likely the result of “a bomb of some kind.” (So said the idiot!)
     "Trump increasingly finds himself minimized and ignored — as many of his more outlandish or false statements are briefly considered and then, just as quickly, dismissed. The slide into partial irrelevance...."
       "Trump has always been malignant and incompetent."
       ".....in the pandemic, his vices—venality, dishonesty, self-absorption, dereliction, heedlessness—turned deadly."
      "We're definitely going to be somewhere between 200,000 and 300,000."  (By end of 2020)
        "U.S. Attorney General William Barr mounted a partisan attack on the Democratic Party in an interview that aired Sunday, claiming the left believes in "tearing down the system" and pursues absolute victory as "a substitute for religion."   "It's a secular religion. It's a substitute for a religion." 

     So what is next? We have a lunatic for a President, increasingly irrelevant and a comic relief figure for the nation, a man who more and more is using religion, the Christian religion, claiming it as being under attack. Well, been here, done that. When religion gets pushed, and that included the supposed to be impartial Attorney General, then Jews burn. Been that way through history and doubt anything will change for the better under this supposed leadership where hatred is pushed, false religion is espoused, and danger runs rampant.
      The nation right now is akin to a driverless car even as a demented would be driver climbed into the car and messed with the controls. Doomed either way - with or without interference, there is simply no person at the helm, at the steering wheel should we say, and nothing good is about to happen, in fact, something bad, something terrible, is far more likely.
      You think no? Project into the future if we remain on this track.  Closing in on 300,000 dead by end of year. And what - 7,8, million infected and no end or vaccine in sight. Infrastructure crumbling. Education down the tubes. Poverty is worse than the Great Depression with masses of Americans going hungry, living on highways and swales, homeless, evicted, foreclosed. Children dying in parents' arms just as they do in all the poverty stricken countries of the world. Ya think no? Think again. Look around again.
     And today, in the midst of all these crises, Trump enjoys the help of Russia to get re-elected. He speaks from the halls of his $350,000 yearly fee golf and country club, and this is the man who is supposed to help the little guy?! C;mon!!! Believe that and I have many crumbling bridges and tunnels to sell to you!
       Ya' think we are not in trouble? Read those passages and statements above and think again. Where are we going and how do we stop this?
      One way is to protest, write, refuse to obey unconstitutional dictats of a dictator and VOTE!!! VOTE!!!!! If we do not do this, the future is doomed. We will have failed all the generations who came before us and thrown away the futures of our kids.
