No. Jewish blood does not come cheap any longer. The time to pay the bill has arrived. There is no denying it. We will no longer stand aside and watch as Jews in various nations of the world are demeaned, debased, threatened. In too many cases there are both overt and covert attacks: Economically. Verbally. Physically. Unto the status of dead. Yet another, more, victim(s) of an ancient meme of hate. It is a hate which is either wrapped around the hearts of the haters or wrapped around by the souls of the haters who have lost all traces of humanity within the morass of corruption and filth of this meme.
For too many centuries the blood of Jewish victims swamped the land in fetid pools. It came cheap. Certainly, cheap at the price for those who encouraged it. Who used that as deflection from all that was wrong in the realm. No necessity to send troops or police to halt the rioting, to halt the violence, to halt the slaughter. Why? For that very slaughter was looked upon as a blessing for those in power. As an opportunity for those who wished to exercise their "Right to Hate”. Their right to hate the Jews, just as their parents and their grandparents and their ancestors did.
The major holidays of the Christian religions, Easter, Christmas, the beginning of Lent, various saints' days. All looked upon as the rightful time to exercise their hearts and bodies and souls in attacks upon their Jewish neighbors. From the priests and pastors and reverends in the pulpits of these purported houses of worship to the window in the Vatican where the Pope appeared to exhort his parishioners to forge forward yet again in hate and bloodshed, to the regal halls of palaces where words instigating hate and encouraging violence were spoken. Approving of murder and pillage. and rape. Of men, women, children, infants. The unborn. For it made no difference. It was a time looked upon with great anticipation. An overwhelming glee and madness as the enemies of the Jews crystallized their evil intentions into actions. Growing worse by the minute, by the hour, by the day, by the week, by the month, by the year, by the century, by the millennia.
The Jewish people were often forbidden by law to resist. To wield a weapon in their defense. Those who dared to do so, who were caught were handed into the outstretched arms of the Devil and his followers with death horribilis their fates. Into the dwellings ran the attackers. Foaming at the mouth. In bloody anticipation of what awaited them. As they found those hiding beneath beds, in closets. Beneath floors. On roofs. On the porches. Or simply waiting there in the kitchen for the expected death. A sentence passed upon them by those who hated them. Because they were Jews. Because they insisted on continuing to live, to exist. To be more, to do more. To never give up.
We knew the promise of the Lord to us, given to Abraham. A promise that would be kept. We waited anxiously for that time to come. But no longer do we wait. That time is here. That time is now. That time is forever. No longer will we tolerate thousands, millions of us to be slaughtered. To be worked literally to skin and bones. Before being gassed. Buried alive. Shot. Burned. Beaten. Whatever pleased those who held power over them. The power of life and death. The power they thought would be theirs until the last Jew was gone.
But no longer. Our hope, our faith, our determination. To forge forward. To leave behind the ugliness, the pervading evil rampant in those accursed nations. It never died. In fact, it grew. With each and every step forward. Every footfall of every survivor. Never again was etched upon their hearts. Never again would they allow such things to recur. Never again. No more to stand still paralyzed by terror. By the violence and the hate wielded against them. No, no more. No more sales of Jewish blood. No more quantities being released upon the face of this thirsty earth. The blood. Their blood. Called out to the heavens. Reminding the Lord about His promise. That He will always avenge the blood of His children. He will not allow others to say that He has abandoned us, His Chosen. His Children. Chosen not to be slaughtered but to being able to return to their land, their ancient ancestral homeland. And rebuild. And re- bloom. Both the land and the people within.
But the world fought this image. How could it be that the perennial victim of choice would no longer be there for them. They would not stand in silence. They would not hide in fear. No more. Even as the survivors of the camps stood outside the camps on the first days of liberation, singing the Hatikvah, the national anthem of the Jewish people, the nation of Israel, so too do we sing. With pride. With strength, with determination. And the people returned. Came back to join those already there. Some through the centuries. Together, the goal was to rebuild this nation. To force fertile fields out of deserts. Fertile soil out of malaria ridden swampland.
To look into the future. Along with the past and know what rights we have. What proud history we have. What contributions we have made to the world. Given to all. To know we are no longer to be defenseless. We will no longer have to resort to a stick to defend ourselves. No longer. For we now have our own power. To wield when necessary. To hold as a deterrent. Against those who continued to wish us dead. To be gone. To take our land. Take our nation. To take our lives.
Whether it be one. Or 10. Or hundreds. Or thousands. We will not be up for the grabs. For every one of us to be attacked. We will exact the cost at high penalty from those who have initiated those attacks. We despise them for their continued barbarity. For their continued anticipation that they will conquer and exterminate their ancient favorite target.
No longer. No more.
Jewish blood is neither cheap. Nor free to those who desire it.
Perhaps it seemed so yesterday.
We are teaching you that it is not so today.
By tomorrow and all the tomorrows to come, you will have learned better.
If you do not like our response to those who would harm us, well, there is one path to take. Step forward on the path that eliminates hate. That does not depict Jews as the perennial victim of hate.
It is all up to you.
We know what is upon us.
