LOSING AND SUCH

"Somehow they will both end up losing,." This statement was made with regard to  the Jets and a congressional district, but quite frankly, it can obviously and quite appropriately relevant to the  state of the world today. Everyone is at odds with everyone else. Families split according to political belief and attached matters. Now in Iceland, there is a huge  and growing chasm amongst its population. Should they seek closer ties to the EU or not? Of course, the whole issue came into fruition when spurred by the venom of Trump and his threats to annex just about all he desires and if not annex, simply rename, substituting America or American for the proper and traditional names. To wit, we now have an Gulf of America and a Lake America as opposed to the Gulf of Mexico and Lake Ontario. All as a result of the twisted workings of a mind in the throes of dementia.

Today most people are like half the members of a large family who do not speak to the other half  due to an argument whose original cause is long forgotten but the enmity remains. We, the human race is one large family. However, we have decided to split this family into warring clans, now so far from each other in thoughts and ambitions that all we know how to do is to wage war on the other in  the name of some gain which inevitably withers away, ephemeral in its lifetime.

The question remains as to why we continue on the same foolish, let alone dangerous  pathways through life, disremembering all the past failures. thinking we were starting anew, we actually are merely pasting a false facade with no solid structure behind it. Then we wonder why so many things go wrong when we expected the opposite result. One person immersed in a situation holding no good news for all involved, said she hoped that there was a bed for them in heaven for most certainly that bed, that peace was not to be found on earth and certainly not in the  hostile situations arising so often.

Do we even understand what we are losing andwhat has already been lost? Too often unable to be retrieved? The wonder of it all is whether or not we can retrieve the humanity that has been leaking out from spaces which  should have been secure. We begin to look aside more often when we see a perturbing event. We make excuses. We deny. And we follow the obviously corrupt who steal for us even as they proclaim their goodness.

Losing is not a pleasing event. We often try to find wormholes to attain  victory.  but at the end of the day, nothing is worth anything unless done properly and wtih justice and positive goals in mind.

Yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

Same old, same old?

Getting real old.
